Default Who IS the National Batting Coach?

When is someone at the BCb going to realise the batting coaching with the national team is not good enough? The batting coaching anywhere in BD is not good enough?

Who is responsible for coaching batting to the national players?

You can't teach national players right away. They should have learned those techniques in age-level cricket, Academy Team, A Team.

All of these players have come through youth cricket programs, so wtf do they still need a batting coach to teach them the basics of staying at the wicket, punishing the right balls, etc?

They still haven't learned the basics. Just look at Imrul Kayes' urge for khocha in every other ball. Also look at Naeem's dismissal yesterday. He had huge bat and pad gap and played a straight drive to an inswinging delivery.

So there's no point having a batting coach then if he 'cannot teach anything' to national players?

Shane Warne had Terry Jenner even as a world class player. Allan Donald made a difference to NZ at the WC in fast bowling in 6 weeks. Alistair Cook works with Graham Gooch.

I think you don't understand what coaching is needed. If the players don't have those skills it is up to the coaching staff to give that skill to them, not just sit back and say nothing we can do they should know this already.
