Wow what a guessing game! What would the prize of guessing the right person.
Why are we even surprised? Touring W Indies is ONCE in a lifetime opportunity for these poor kids. It is obvious they want to enjoy the sun, beaches and the babes. Most of them, if not all, will not be going back there again - as I said ONCE in a lifetime opportunity. Who gives a sh*t about some low profile cricket series!

You guys are all trying to guess the one who's bitter of not being selected, what about the one that refused to go because of first class tickets

Its really hard to resist when they may heard first hand information of all those funs that their boro bhias may have told them i.e. Pilot and his team mates about their fun time win world cup in West Indies.

We also have to look at the authenticity of the article. I don't know why would a player, even if he has such feelings, would express that in front of any journalist. Directly hok ba ghuraiya pechaiya hok, kono player mediar kono loker shamne ebhabe kotha bolbe nah. Lately our media are just publishing juicy stories with twisted words.

I say the report is more harmful...if the reporter was sure of the authenticity of the information he should named the players....why create suspicion on others who didn't have such attitude..it's just a paparazzi style cheap shot at cricketers in general probably because someone didn't gave him an interview in the past

Bro, I wouldn't call those ''juicy stories." It's just a bunch of good for nothing and worthless horse dungs, especially when it comes to Prothom Alo reports as of late. They made a big deal out of Hathurusingha getting mad and all when asked about the job offer. "Rege Mege naki BCB ke na kore diyechen..." and crap like that.

Nah its not gazi. Report ta abar poren. Its one of the 3 players who went to play the one day series in west indies.

It all has to do with how BCB handles day to day things.
How a play gets so much pull to ask for this if this is not something BCB has done for someone in the past or open to consideration?

surprized that no one is taking a dig at samsur rahman. Remember during the Asia cup series (if am not mistaken or may have been the srilanka series) one of the players gave comments like this and was benched? Next thing you know, we see samsur in the dugout.

this type of articles don't really have much of a value to me personally, I just want the boys to play and play with the right attitude, which is professional attitude, after that if they don't win means they are not good enough, I just don't want to see them throwing away wickets, or dropping catches or throwing hit-me deliveries.
And I'm really not enjoying how people here are andaajey naming players.

if this is the attitude of the general BD cricketer it's no wonder you struggle to be world class even though the talent is there, if someone prefer's to play for the A team rather than the national team then you really have to question their commitment to the game.
tamim is saying he's confident of returning to form, hasn't he been saying that for ages? no problem with a player being confident like that, in fact they need to be but at the same time they need to have some realness in their thinking as in what exactly has or is tamim doing to regain his form? is he training any harder? getting any fitter? working on his weaknesses more?
i'm not saying that cricket has to be a players be all or end all but they need to have a certain commitment level or they shouldn't be selected, you want you players giving it their all. a player might be in it for the money, that's fine as long as they're still giving it their all otherwise give the spot to someone who actually cares enough to realise it's a professional sport and deserves the commitment (the nation deserves the commitment from these players, that's part of playing for your country).

Not naming the player is bad journalism. It creates the scope of speculation, innocents are looked down upon, and culprits get away. Either you name it, or you do not mention the event at all.

It is someone, who -
1. is not in the A team
2. is not in the national squad
3. has some experience playing in the national team.
So, Rubel, Gazi, Elias Sunny etc. are prime suspects.

You guys r all taking it negatively as the reporter assumed it that way. May be he was sad because he was planning to play against WI fast bowlers and where getting him self ready for that and now he has to face Indian spinners..

even in that context national team duties is something to be proud of and not sad about. if the player wants to work against fast bowling to improve that's great but don't be sad about missing an A tour just because of that when national duties are on the table, plenty of opportunities in the national team to face fast bowling plus he could always organise to go play in australia or england or south africa (probably even WI if that's where he wants to be in some club matches and depending on their status state/province/county/regional matches).

Honestly, there was NO zinx in our game. Something was missing...no one step up. Same old game and predictable result no matter who they are playing with...

yeah he doesn't know if he will picked again after failing against India A team
Where as he does well like imrul he could get picked for the WC in Australia... Beside its the reporter who thinks the player was sad. But the player him self didn't say that... so lets say he was worried about the commute and not missing the A tour...
