Default Prithvi Shaw

Kid is absolutely smashing it in Indian domestics and A team cricket, only just turned 18. Just got another FC century today.

Shubman gill is another 18 year old highly thought of but shaw came to prominence hitting an innings of 546 when he was 14. He's been on the radar since then. At the end of last year he was called up into the Mumbai squad for the semi final of the ranji trophy and debuted scoring a century in his first match.

Kid's solid. Huge prospect for India. Wonder if he'll get an IPL contract.

He seems pretty strong on the offside. I would target his chest and throat more often.

I see glimpses of Azharuddin + Dravid in the technique.

The opposition captain was too less attacking against him on the off side.

Once the oppositions figure out his weaknesses, it will be interesting how he counteracts (like what happened to Momin). With Indian domestic matches televised, they will have plenty of materials to analyze before he gets the chance to play for India.

With his height, my guess - he will not find well directed back of a good length-short balls easy to play. What made Tendulkar so specials was that he handled those lengths well too.

Wow, what an innings from shaw. Failed in the first innings but Mumbai in a must win game, day 4 after tea and needing about 60 to win and prithvi comes out scoring at a rate of 200 plus, ending up with a 50 at a strike rate of 192 to take Mumbai to victory.

His opening partner scored 13, himself scoring at 100+.

This kid is terrific in pressure situations.

He’s a he. He’s been a very hyped talent since he was about 14, he’s now 18 and is for the most part eating up any competition he’s part of, average over 60, he’s got 5 tons in 8 matches. Every match he’s played so far this ranji season he’s scored at least one 50.

If he keeps this up he will soon be in the Indian senior team.

Don’t have to be goo goo gaga over him if you don’t want to be but he’s an expectionally hyped talent so it’s interesting to see his progress, so far he has not let down.

He will quite possibly be the best batsman in the world at some point.

I can't wait until this guy vanishes into thin air. Sorry but I have seen tons of these things happen to players.

This one I don’t think will fade away, he’s already achieved some success at A team level.

India just keep producing world star batsmen. Tendulkar, Kohli, and this guy has a high possibility of becoming one too. He is not far from the national team. Wonder if he will be selected for this upcoming IPL.

And they’ve got plenty of others aside from this kid. Though they do have their fair share of hype and fail, chand, zol.

I hope he establishes himself in test cricket first but I’d say the chance of him playing this IPL is high.
