Default Your Expectation from South Africa Series 2008

Despite commanding performance against New Zealand, my expectation is low guys

T20

Probability of BD win is .55

ODI series

Good fight in one ODI and loss in two other without any fight.
Talking about individual expectation, Rasel, Shakib and Mortaza is likely to bowl very well. Batsmen are very unpredictable, but at least one batsmen will score 40 something to take our score past 100 and save our blushes.

Test Series

Zero expectation. Mentally I am ready to see our batsmen getting slaughtered by South African pace monsters. Most batsmen will get out cheaply by mistimed hook-pull, LBW, caught behind or caught in slip.
Both matches will be finished inside three days unless miracles happens or nature intervenes.

SA wins all 6 matches (T20, ODIs, Tests), and innings defeat in at least 1 test.

If we can score more than 200 runs in each of test and ODI innings agains SA then I will be happy. I know 50% of the times they will score less than 200 runs. And 30/3, 44/4, 67/6 will be a very common in November for us.

This SA team isnt even that good in one day anymore, they got pathetically whitewashed by England, who are by no means a good one day side.

Is there anything in SA for our main spinners: sakib, razzak and possibly enamul haq.

Its too bad, Razzak cant transform into a chinaman spinner as good as shane warne to add variety.

on an individual level i want to see:

tamim (he needs to score some 50s, and convert one to a 100. given its SA in SA, i doubt a 100 will happen, but its damn time)

junaid (i want to see him bounce back and detract his detractors)

ash (just want to see something other than a single digit score or duck...get his eyes checked and push him to number 5)

sakib (just keep up the work, take a few wickets, score a couple 50s)

raqib (i have huge targets for him, its very good we have 4 matches for him settle down before he earns his test cap)

mehrab (just score some 50s)

mash (continue the ODI form, get to 75 test wickets)

rajib (get to 50 test wickets)

BD will crumble in the bouncy pitches and Dhaka warrior will take the limelight by moving into the semis...

Even though it iz a very negative attitude 4 me i just think South Africa iz 2 gud n will whitewash usin both forms of the game. The twenty20 match i can't say because anythin can happen in twenty20. The way they just slaughtered us in all of the matches except the 1st test and that wuz also in Bangladesh, just does not give me a good feelin. Even if they lose all the matches, all I really want them 2 do iz 2 play a competitive match against the proteas.

To be honest, depending on ODI performance, I want to see Syed Rasel in test team. I am hopeful that he will do well in ODIs. Remember T20 Worldcup?

BCites will protest hugely about Rasel's inclusion in the test team as many of us thinks he is ineffective with the old ball. However, he first needs to be given chances. In SL he was given a chance and he took three wickets. Also if he can consistently bring breakthrough by taking a wicket or two, I will keep him in test XI.

No Rasel in TEST yet. Enamul - mmm ok let's play him. Expectation -

1) 450 in combined 2 innings with 250+ in one innings atleast.
2) Pacers should take 5 wkts between them, spinners should take the rest.
3) Tamim - Nafis might come as openers.
