প্রথম আলোঃ এখন আফগানদেরও‘সমীহ’ করছে বাংলাদেশ!
The article is here.
Clearly, the team's confidence is shot. Mushfiqur and other senior players need to work on it. Losing to Afghanistan is not acceptable even for this team.

Like our players, we the fans are in low...too!
We only support a winning team!! When our team needs the fans most, to get back confidence, to get motivations, love - we rather start hating them!!!
I am ashamed of myself as a Tiger fan. I am.

Personally, loss to AFG in Asia Cup will be nothing comparing loss to IRE after kicking out IND in World Cup. Asia Cup is a regional tourney, has zero value for teams outside the sub-continent and it does not carry any feather for winning it in ICC events.
But, yes, as a team BD should win matches as they need to go up the ladder and that way if becomes number eight then can play CT without any controversy.

As a fan, I don't have a problem in supporting a team that looses but gives 100% in the field,is dedicated and proud in representing the country.
But the attitude of Bangladeshi cricket players will take away even the most avid of fans. In the 2nd ODI, Shamshur was smiling after making 50 as if his job was done, then next ball he almost got caught and finally he got out trying the same lofted shot. The same careless way of going about things is seen in all players including Tamim, Shakib, Mahmudullah, Gazi. In fact the new generation are not the only ones to blame; I still remember watching a match in the 90s, when a New zealand player hit a BD bowler out the of the ground and guess what happened next? The whole team including the bowler started laughing and talking to the batsman about the "great" shot..
Our team has talents but lack professionalism due to weak first class cricketing structure and inherent laziness that comes with being a Bengali I guess. In fact even Afghanistan, Scotland or Holland seems more dedicated and focused in the field (but lacks the talent).

Gotta respect everyone. That's the professional attitude we see everyday amongst the true professionals of the game. Being Bangladesh, a team packed with underachieving brainfarters, cannot afford not to "shomiho" anyone, not even PNG or China.

Team is low in self - esteem and professionalism. Need a kick in the behind to remind them what's at stake, what they need to do. It's simple really. Play to your potential and be professional. Basic requirements from any outfit.

I anyway hate these kind of reports. This are ways of demeaning the opposition. When Afg has earned the right to compete in Asia Cup, let's take them as equal opponents. All matches are important and so is this one. On paper though, Bangladesh has less than 1% chance of losing this one ... even after 0-3 at home against Australia.
