Is it the end of our dominance over Zimbabwe?
I loved when Bangladesh won series against Zimbabwe in last December. It was the first time ever for all of us to see Bangladesh dominating over another test nation.
But the rebels are back in Zimbabwe Team now. Is this the end of our dominance over Zimbabwe? I was just following the ZIM vs. SA 3rd ODI. It is the first come back match for Heath Streak....and he is already in ACTION. SA might even loose this match!!! Streak is the highest scorer with 68 and top 4 SA batsman already gone for just 79!!
I guess if our players do not improve and perform consistently, we might have to wait a long long time to see another single test or ODI series win.

This was a South African side shorn of Graeme Smith, Jacques Kallis, Shaun Pollock, Makhaya Ntini and Andre Nel - all rested for this dead rubber - but their replacements wasted no time in setting Zimbabwe under the cosh.

no doubt streak will make a big difference. but we should be able to win at least 5 out of 10 games against them.

Streak, Blignaut, Price they are all match winners. SOmething we dont have. Besides their youngsters have showed immense promise. Especially Chigumbura, Taylor, Masakadza and Panyangara seem to be more confident and determined than our youngsters. So Zimbabwe should have the edge now.

At least we're not gonna be whitewashed the next time we meet them - that's a guarantee that I'm giving you.

About the 3rd ODI yesterday between Zimbabwe and SA - I've also seen parts of it.
Zimbabwe actually lost the match because of some of their fielders' inexperience plus because of umpire's decision about Justin Kemp's out. Captaincy had also contributed in their losing the match.
If Taibu had Streak brought back earlier, instead of, say not bowling Williams after the 40th over, things might have been a little different.
Majority of the fielders started showing pressure when they could not gather the ball properly - at the right time, a few catching chances also went down - some very easy ones, some difficults ones - but their bowling overall has been good - just like ours.

I agree. Look at what happened during BD's last tour of Zim when all the 'rebels' were playing. ODIs were extremely close. Tests may not have been so but Bangladesh is much improved team.

Winning breeds more confidence, the bangla players will now want to win many matches as possible because they saw the fans reaction and the whole nations reaction to their victories over first india then the wins against zim. they know on their day they are capable of an upset.
they will never forget that series and will strive to achieve more moments like that in the near future.

Got the news that zimbabwe have lost by 5 wickets. Just keep it cool. Just by the return of Heath Streak won't mean Zimbabwe would dominate over us. We would continue to haunt them like we had done in our first test and odi series win.

easily i dont think so, remmeber last year when the ir full strenght side was there it was very cose odi games but the test matches werent that close at all, they beat us convincingly in the first test and the last test was washed out with rain where they were 260/3 builidng a huge lead over our first innings.

i guess crisis is not entirely over.........selectors will keep on picking their favorites players and there may be slot for only 1 or 2 rebels in the team. I don't think that will change the complexion of the team much

I think Bangladesh can beat this team also. Because Bangladesh played well and beat Zimbabwe in a ODI at Zimbabwe in the last Zimbabwe tour.
