Default Some stats since Shakib made his debut

qualification 1000 runs and 50 wickets(which i guess should be the basic for an all-rounder) ..this will put todays premiere all rounders in comparison with shakib

in tests Since shakib's debut(2007)

In odis since shakib's debut(2006)

This stats will give more of a unbiased view

here is a bowling stat for odi...since shaks debut(qualification atleast 100 wik)

we have 3 ban players in this!!...isn't that impressive!..and look closely!..there is no subcontinent bowler other than us!(muralidharan only missed out..he has 99 wiks)..our bowling really improved in odi!

in batting shak is far behind in terms of runs scored since his debut...he is no 17 on that list so i didn't put it here...though he is no 17 in that list he is the top bd player on that list!

i have posted this in shakib's thread..but felt i should open a new thread..if it is unnecessary thread then mods can delete it

good find. You should go one step furthur and do the same stats only against top 8 team. Thas how the whole world will see it. If you show them this they will be like well he boosted his performance against the weaker teams.

shane watson is easily the best allrounder in stats..

Watson could've easily topped Shakib as a all. I am talking about ranking wise of course. He improved his batting a lot. He pretty much solved the opening problem for Aus, after Hayden-Gilly era came to an end. He still can bowl with decent pace. But Australia has enough bowlers, so he doesn't get used as much. Unlike Shakib, he is pretty much our backbone of our bowling, and the whole team.

Batting wise I will pick Watto.

This is the bowling stats:top 10 bowlers wicket wise..

Good stats. These days, Shakib is much more useful than Kallis, Watson or Vettori. He is pretty consistent with his bowling and he is correcting his problems (over confidence) with the batting. Watson bowls only a few overs and Kallis is almost absent from the scene with injuries. Shakib is on par with Vettori in bowling and a better batsman than him.

Not surprisingly, we see 3 of our best bowlers in the list. Our bowlers have been the more consistent ones over the years. They have contributed to all our wins, while the batsmen, often more praised and over rated, have been the weakest link.

Just a couple of things people should consider with these stats,
1. It starts from Shakib's game 1, where Kallis/Vettori already had their feet well settled in internation cricket.
2. Shakib did not become a lethal bowler untill late 2008.
Good stuff night wolf

^OK considering beshideshi vai's 2nd point here are some stats. shakib reached the no 1 odi allrounder ranking in 23 jan 2009 and have never gone down to no 2 since

This are allround stats for odi since 2009
against all teams
qualificaton: 500 runs and 40 wickets

against G8 teams
qualificaton: 400 runs and 30 wickets

Watson and shakib is easily the best 2 allrounders if u minus blowing avg from batting avg..

Another tiny stat, not regarding Shakib though. http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/...s;type=bowling
Since Shakib made his international debut, we have three world class bowlers in the team. Razzak and Shakib taking the 3rd and 4th most wickets with Mash taking 12th most wickets. This is a really remarkable stat, it shows with another world class bowler we will have an incredible bowling line up[my pick is Rubel then Shafiul then Shuvo]

found it...before Shakib,Jack kalis vs the windies and Sourov vs pak did this feat in a 2 country series..so these 3 men are the only in history to do this

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/eng...nd;view=series

go to this link..click the arrow and go to the series home and look in the most run and wickets..
