saqlain is unlikely to be called; in any case we have 3 specialist spinners and they can bowl through the day and thus there is no need for a 4th spinner; i wud still stick with two pace bowlers as often one bowler may not find his rhythm

I reall dont want to see another wicket as slow as the ones used in the ODI's. I would much rather see the ones that were used against India. THose wickets were good because they had turn in Day four and five and it had something for the pacers.
So if that type of pitch is used, i would like to see Rubel, Shafiul, Sakib, Riyad, Naeem, and another spinner as the main bowlers. Shafiul and Rubel are toothless on the really slow wickets.

Dude, do you understand basics of cricket? SN is a b-grade cricketer with so many basic weakness let alone temperment. Rasel/Nazmul should be never around a test team. Nayeem, let him be a success in ODI first, test cap should not be as cheap. Where is enamul for test? Let Saq sajib to play ODI, 4 day engainst some strong visiting team first. Aftab has basic problem for test. test bowler should be shahadat, shafiul or rubel. Dude, use your basic iq first

He has been trying really hard or playing sensibly last few matches..... he was run out mostly... and one stupid shot.. but I think he is determined to fight to stay....and I think he will come out good.. atleast for couple of matches...

Tamim Iqbal: Automatic choice
Imrul Kayes: I would say this test should be last chance for test. Play as ODI specialist if you cannot convert your starts to at least 50 in tests.

Rokibul Hasan - We need a cool head like him at no 3.

Middle Order:
Mushfiqur Rahim: Automatic choice, VC, and our best test batsmen should come at 4.
Shakib Al-Hasan: Automatic choice, C.
Mahmudullah Riyad: I hope he can replicate his performance of last two test series. Hope Shak should use his bowling more.
Nayeem Islam: We need mentally tough blokes like him in the test squad.

Spinners:
Mehrab Hossain Jnr: He can play as a spinner only. His batting is a plus.
Abdur Razzaq: It will be silly leave him out after his ODI performance.
Saqlain Sajib: Trump Card

Pace Bowler:
Rubel Hossain: We can only afford one pace bowler given the current situation.



In this way, we can have 8 batsmen , six spinners .

After seeing Tradwell today, if we do not take at least one specialist spinner aside Shakib, it will be mistake of the century. I would say take two specialist spinner aside Shakib.

For #3 we have Aftab and Junaid is not SN better than those two?Naeem is a lower middle order batsman and SN is top order so no comparison between them.I hope both will play.Any way SN did well in his last few FC matches he played for Barishal

i know naeem is more of a lower middle order batsman (5/6) but i'm really tempted to play him at 3 (ahead of junad, ash, aftab, raqibul), mushy at 4, shakib at 5, riyad at 6, dhiman at 7 and then 4 bowlers. you could go with just 3 specialist bowlers but then one of mushy/riyad/shakib/naeem would be batting at #7 and i think all of them are better than that, plus BD could do with an extra specialist bowler.

This would be my team

Tamim Iqbal-Automatic choice, our best opener yet and has 2 perform in order for us 2 stand a chance against England

Zunaed Siddique-Yes this is pretty questionable but sadly it seems he is our best option up at the top as imrul has just not cut it for us in tests, has been part of tamims crucial partnerships and his 5 half centuries in 14 tests and 27 innings is just 2 hard 2 ignore, he should be the opener alongside tamim

Raqibul Hasan-He might not be the best option up at the top but honestly who else do we have at the top? Maybe Naeem but honestly is it a good idea giving a guy who never played up at the top for the national team a chance at #3 in tests? Would want to try 2 try him at #3 in ODIs before putting him here in tests. Aftab is just not a long term solution here, Nafees still has 2 work on his technique and Ash is just completely out of form and needs 2 play more domestic cricket, on the other hand roqibul does have the temperament and the responsibility 2 play at the most crucial position

Mushfiqur Rahim-I would put him at #3 if he was our specialist batsman but being a wicketkeeper, he should not be at #3, has the temperament, application and the shots in the book 2 be a top order batsman, he's definitely wasted down the order and needs to be up the order if he is going to give us the important runs..

Mahmudullah Riyad-I think he is at best when he is at #5..currently he is just playing 2 low in the order and then just comes 2 late 2 depend on him, Has temperament, application and shots in the book, has made a very good impression so far in tests and hope he continues the solid form..very important for him 2 deliver
Naeem Islam-Needs to be given chances in tests..has the title of chokka Naeem but he is way more then just chokka Naeem, has 5 FC centuries and an average of about a 37 in FC..needs to play low before getting tested up at the top, think he should be a regular from now on in tests..

Shakib Al Hasan-It is controversial putting him this low but in my opinion he should be batting at #7 or 8, he is way 2 important of a bowler 4 us to be depended on as a batsman as well..also can play his natural game by giving us a quick 50 runs after the top order shows their grittiness and gives us the runs we need..he is our most lethal and consistent bowler as of yet and really needs to be picking up wickets against the english batsmen who are suspect at best with spin

Sohrawardi Shuvo-Known as a wicket taking machine in FC's and would love to see how he performs there..was pretty impressed with him in ODIs and will eventually turn in2 a threat..needs 2 flight the ball a little more and slow the ball up if he wants get wickets..also a very handy batsman down the order and can give the extra 15-20 runs at the end of the innings

Shafiul Islam-Has great potential and arguably has been the find of the year 4 us..have been very impresses with his line and length along with his pace..with time he will become a very lethal bowler for us in tests..has been 2 expensive but have to give the befenit of the doubt as he has played on very flat pitches..

Saqlain Sajib-Has been the highest wicket taker and in my opinion deserves a test call up since the English are very suspect with spin..will give us a strong option alongsides Shuvo and Shakib..better option in my opinion then Shahadat..

Rubel Hossain-Very promising bowler with his vicious pace..with experience he will improve his economy rate and will eventually be our best pacer for years to come..should be able 2 give some trouble 2 the english batsmen if his line and length are decent..

I think this is honestly the best team we can make and the best shot 2 give the english a hard time..
