I can't understand, why bangladesh's net run is so poor comparing to south africa's! Bangladesh lost to Saf by 43 runs and Saf lost to Zim by 29 runs, there's not big difference between these two margins, both are big loses in t20. And bangladesh won by 6 wickets and 15 balls to spare against Saf today, thats also big margin! so whats the fact???

Also, the most biased commentary i have heard in a while, they were critisicing BD when mushy and nasir were play risk free cricket getting 7-9 runs an over by singles and twos, and the commies were saying how we were struggling to get boundaries and so on at a stage where we needed to consolidate and not lose a wicket, um i guess they wanted BD to finish off the game with 5 or 6 overs to spare...

Yes, thats the reason. hope after winning tommorrows match bd's run rate will improve,so we don't need saf-zim match's result.

I don't have any problem with him and don't doubt the tremendous potential he carries, as a top-order batsman, for the future. It's his wrongful selection ahead of a genuine T20 player like Mominul, who is ready to go, and the people who keep over-hyping him and say things like "Mushy should be worried, here comes Anamul," that I have a problem with.

Like Mominul, I think Shabbir should have selected for T20 as well. We missed a big opportunity to include these two for the T20 WC.

You actually take that stuff seriously? For people that say that about mushy and Anamul are just foolish. Mushy's already a solid international batsman at this level and is on his way to becoming world class. Anamul's still a really young kid who has a long ways to go before he can even be considered a good batsman at this level. So don't let some foolish statements bother you.

if we wana reach the final, yes.

If we want to figure out the T20 WC squad, I think Anamul and Abul shoud be given the next match too.

Nazmul and Zunaid are experienced players, thus, don't need to be tryed out. They can play against the Irish and Dutch.

not everyone is Nasir Hussain.
Anamul,Mominul , Sabbir are definitely the players we should look forward to but they r still very young.
Imo it's better to keep these young guns occupied with the domestic lgs and BPL for atleast another year or two.
In the mean time give more opportunities to Jahurul,Junaid(test + T20),Kaedge(odi),Nazimuddin(test,t20?) ,Zia(teatwnty and may be odis)

I see no problem with giving Anamul another chance before we finally see whether he needs more domestic/ FC/ BD A matches to get set for International matches or really we can persist with him in top of the order where we have a huge vacancy at no.3 spot which needs to be solidified soon by someone. On the contradiction, one good performance will not seriously resolve the issue though. But this boy Anamul has something in him the way he plays. I'm pretty much sure many cricket gurus will agree on this aspect. The way he plays the ball to leg side- picture perfect. Also he seems to have a little bit more time when facing fast bowlers which is a sign of great batsman. It's a pretty much dilemma situation for the selectors

Good performance by BD today. A couple of observations on the newbies:

Anamul Haque - in the field, very good esepcially that run out. more importantly, he is starting to look comfortable in the side which augurs well for the future (I mean purely from a team chemistry perspective, his batting aside...)

Ziaur Rahman - I like Zia, he's tall and hardworking. However, there's no way he's good enough to play for Bangladesh, not these days anyway. His bowling is slow even by our pace standards and his fielding is mediocre. He's a decent six hitter, but do we really need that if the batters do their job (and with Mash in the side)?

To all those who say Ash shouldn't be opening I respectfully disagree. In my view, if you so much as countenance having Ash in your team, the only position he can remotely justify is as opener in T20s. In T20 cricket a quickfire 30-odd (at a good strike rate) is considered good (although a 50 is always better). In every other form of cricket it's a wasted start. Was there ever a position more tailor-made for Ash...?...

I guess its tough luck to deliver in test by just relying on timing and without having any footwork. Not many people have done great in test with that technique.
