i'm not an indo-pak fan. in fact, after bd, i usually root for the lankans. but damn, what an immense performance by afridi, on his day easily the best argument that cricket is NOT a team sport. imran nazir continues to impress and sadly, be unlucky... i hope that long string of misfortune ends soon, he's a pleasure to watch. lanka's an ordinary side without murali, and now sangakkara and the rest of the WC regulars rested for the game - but mahela was still going to pull it off before... well we all know what happened... congrats to all pak fans, the shoaib malik era has begun...

well let's not get too excited here, SL can and will bounce back in big way! remember if pakistan has AFRIDI, srilanka has JAYASURIYA.

True. SL definitely can bounce back, though I am not sure how seriously they are looking to win the series here. They gave the first match to a debutant, which I was not quite sure was the right thing to do. SL lower order doesnt have the required fire power to score big in the last 10 overs.

sanath needs to take the game away early and decisively for the lankans to bounce back. fielding the WC squad will help also...
