The term ভণ্ড পীর probably qualifies for oxymoron. By definition পীর is always ভণ্ড. There is no such thing as সত্ পীর

Yes, in context of a developing country, education definitely will help reducing such nonsense. But permanent solution? I seriously doubt when religious or spiritual elements are attached with those nonsense. There are plenty of example even in developed country like Japan, US etc., that clearly indicates higher education or rich cant prevent one form those nonsense. Having high standard medical system [in developed countries], yet some people urge / seek spiritual healing [spending huge money] only to realize all are nonsense at the end. |
