DS: BCB hunts down old boys
The tournament committee of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has found 33 over-aged players among the participating teams in the ongoing Dhaka Bank Under-19 cricket Tournament.
Just a day before the 12-team final round the tournament committee expelled those players after a BCB medical team found them guilty yesterday.
Gaibandha lost eight of their players after they were found over-aged while Rajshahi and Barisal lost six. Next were Comilla with five players, Khulna four, Narayanganj two while BKSP and Sylhet lost one each.
"We have expelled those players from the tournament who have been proved over-aged in the medical test," said member-secretary Ali Hossain, adding that the medical tests for the players of Chittagong, Tangail and Chandpur will be held tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the final round begins today at four city venues today.

I think BCCB should have made rules such as if a team get caught with more than three over-aged players, the whole team would be kicked out of the competion and the regional runners up or the team next in line will get to play in the final rounds in Dhaka.

No big deal..it's just an honest mistake/misunderstanding.
They thought it was a U-33 tournament.

The report should say 33 and counting. How many do you guess will be over aged in the remaining three teams Chittagong, Tangail and Chandpur?
My guess it should be 40+ easy.

You guessed wrong, it ended up to be exactly forty
Two players each from Chittagong, Tangail, Chandpur and one player from Bagherhat got busted yesterday.

How do they exactly pin point who is older? I had friends back in school who had real passports showing the fake age and one of them even played for the U13 team when he was 16.

Generally, they take the x-ray of your wrist and hand. If all the bone growth zones at your wrist and hand are closed (fully matured), that shows you are over 19 years of age.
