Default Inspired WI leave Bangladesh in wary!?

WI's today's 4-1 ODI win over India might be a big challenge for Bangladesh to qualify in the 2nd round in the comming Champions Trophy. It would be tough now to beat them as they are in high team spirit and moral. Now, what would be the strategies for BD to beat WI and SL toqualify in the final round? Pals, any thoughts?

Did you see the way they played s Zim? There really isn't a gap between WI and BD or SL.IND,Pak. In the Subcontient I think we can beat England or NZ in ODI theres only 2 teams and thats Aus and SA(I'm not convinced on them)

doesn't mean a damn thing...india are not that good. highly talented, yes but only in batting. their fielding is prolly good, but their bowling is utterly mediocre. not bad but definitely not good. india are prolly the biggest underachievers. even more than us. a team with batsman as good as sachin, dravid, and ganguly not ever winning the world cup is pretty tough to swallow.

i am looking forward to playing and hopefully beating WI in October.

I think India lost because their young batsmen could not adjust very well to the conditions in west indies. I am quite surprised that the WI spinners did better then the Indian spinners.

We definitely stand a chance ... our best overseas performance in both tests and one-day internationals arguably came against WI in 2004 ...

Thats the punishment for not selecting a alltime top ODI batsman Ganguly in the team. He should not have been only there , he should have remained captain if not the stupid CHappel was there. How can you discard players of the caliber of Ganguly and Zaheer who are top players? The answer is politics, Kiran More, and most importantly Chappel who wanted to work with a new captain so that he had more power. I wanted Indian to lose, they did.
And about Bangladesh, I think we should try our best in all the games to win. I think we always have a chance to win against Srilanka and maybe WI. But suddenly West Indies is playing well and they have a balanced side with good fileders and a captain who is a living legend in Brian Lara, who has always performed well with captaincy.

I think India lost because of loosing more in psychological encounter rather than inadequate acclimatization of the young players (Dravid and Chappell are making a big deal out of that to shield behind it). Bravo is the tormentor as India failed to go past a paltry target below 200 despite Yuvraj's heroics in the 2nd test and that seemed to play on their mind since then for the rest of the PDI series!! Another thing was the ego that redeemed on all the Caribbean's mind when Chappell, so good at sparking ill-feelings with his deliberate rash remarks, went on to say that the WI forgot to win close games when they got beaten in the very first ODI!! Lara and gang turned the table from the very next game proving how well now Chappell deserves to put his foot in his big mouth!!

Everytime a team loses, the coach, captain, and the media starts coming up with all sorts of excuses. Sometimes very LAME ones.

As for Indian media and cricket management, they all have the tendency to pick on the weak teams (perceived/real). This was the best gift WI gave to those who had to listen to their BS for the past couple years.

West Indies played very good and right on time---- ICC championship is coming and WC is around the corner. As for India, they are always good at home or in India sub-continent, out side subcontinent very inconsistent. I guess, Greg Chapel is paid big for his big mouth. In Indian soil may be possible to beat WI. If we can beat SRI in ICC competition, then we will win against WI. WI will beat IND in test match.

We will play better than India.
Look, Our medium pacers are not so fast as Inidans and in a slow type wicket our ball looks dangerous, coz we have rafique as well as enamul jr turning ball with specialities. So Wi may worry about us. But for us we can say one thing we will make them upset

Hope is always there. If we can make use of the most of sub-continental condition, I don't see why we can't make it a success against WI in ICC cup. But one has to agree that the way WI is playing against IND is truely impressive. After the ODI, now they got a good start in the first test as well.

india are a very over-rated team...one must remember. they have all kinds of high flying journalists all over the place to hype themselves up. remember, cricinfo is pretty much run by indians, anglos, and aussies.

in general all subcontinent teams are over rated. have you ever seen the records ind, pak, and sl have outside the subcontinent over the years? they may be far better than us, but the number of trophies collected is not much more than us.

the most balanced SC team in terms of home and away performance is actually us, believe it or not. only thing is we suck pretty much equally in both places. the others are kings at home, slaves away.
