We've crossed 80 points in the ICC rankings!!!

This is the first time we have crossed 80 points in the ICC ODI rankings. We are now officially among the big boys of world cricket in terms of ODIs. We are on 83 points, 1 point below NZ who are on 84 points and only a few points behind WI, who are on 89 points. Still a while to go before we get 100 points and can say we are amongst the elite 5 teams but we will slowly get there i feel

Don't worry NZ and WI will easily get more points given that they will play consistent cricket and we'll be doing NONE for the next 3 months!

Have we? I was under the impression that this was the highest number of points we've ever aggregated. If not, can someone tell what was please?

True. In fact, we had passed NZ before and were no. 8 for a short period before NZ passed us again.

Did some research and it does seem like the most amount of points we've ever had. We did pass NZ before after the 3-2 series win against WI, but we only reached 77 points, and stayed around that mark until now. http://www.thesportscampus.com/20121...c-odi-rankings

we are 1 behind nz and 6 behind wi.
if sri lanka lankawash nz we'd take their 8th spot. also wi playin india this month...if they lose all the games the gap between us and wi will be even closer!!
