Its wiered though,, even 4 weeks ago, if someone asked about Naeem, we wouldve said,, he is not even near the national team... He was not even in the Zim series but one or two scores in a rushly arranged BCB cup, all in a sudden changed his fate and he is now in the regular XI. Why was he discarded in the first place? Wasnt it because of he is not suited for 6,7 because he bats slow and cannot rotate strikes and does eat up too many deliveries? So, how did our management completely forget that with only couple performances? Why did they just not get Nafees back?>

Lost by 40 runs, no problem. We will win the next.

And that's exactly where we lost the game. Rahim should have been batting at 4.

Because Nafees's fishing outside off is far too fresh in mind than Naeem's slow pathetic innings. Nafees will be back soon to give us and selectors sometime so that we can forget Naeems innings. So you see the loop ?

Piss off Nayeem - you were promoted and this is what you do? And Ash, more importantly - one spill catch and same ol' crappy batting - you're done and dusted for the nth time dude.
On the other hand, well played Shak, such a waste - other suckers screwed it up, but still a good start. Made up for the bowling with the bat.

I'm sorry what?
You're having a go at the one guy who had a strike rate of over 100 and scored a significant amount of runs....
strange.

Wrong. The match was winnable when the openers got out. It was the 2-122 turning into 5-164 that did the damage.

this is one of those matches that I dont know what to say about our performance. It wasnt the bowler's day (for both teams) and any run chase beyond 260-270 against team ranked above us is beyond our limit...
dont wanna make naeem the scapegoat here, cuz I am sure he was just following instructions. But just wondering if there was an actual plan behind this, it cant be aiming for a 'shommanjonok' porajoy' at 44/1, can it?

To them they probably view it as "keeping wickets on the other end so that they can hit their way out towards the end" BUT most of the time this brings opposite result. WE LITERALLY DONT have the likes of pollard, white, Pathan in the team to "hit our way out". The batsmen coming in lower down the order are NOT powerplay experts, they DO NOT posses special physical advantage or are great cameo stroke makers.Top order needs to realize this and refrain from playing such pathetic innings.

look at the way the WI started... they were also super slow at the begining... but they got SET and started scoring much faster and made up for the initial dot balls... did either Kayes or Naeem ever look like they got set? the answer is a big no... after playing out half the overs in the entire game he still looked new at the crease

Where is the "official" naeem thread so that we all can bash in unision ? Interestingly enough, no one is talking about the pitiful bowling performance of the team hmm ..

Shakib and Rahim was wasted today. And it was too late for them to do anything. You give your best batters the chance to face most amount of balls, not the other way around.
And please, STOP picking 8 spinners. This is getting insane. With new rule in place, there shoula been a Naz in the line up. Shows how much they actually know about cricket...

Nayeem in fact wasn't this shaky to play stroke, what happened to him today now clue, I was just waiting for him to start playing strokes once he was set, but he never changed his mode.
Yes, we have two more games to win the series.... I think the pitch went out of curators control. weren't we supposed to have NZ series type pitches?

How pathetic of him, he should've hit that yorker for six. I mean the it was just around 26 runs per over, what a sissy.

Shakib is the only classy batsman in the team, top order should learn from him how to rotate the strike.

I wasn't having a "go" at Shak. I didn't like the fact that he gave that many strike to Nasir and Razzak. He should have tried to keep the strike. That's all. He knew that he was our last hope, being at non-striker end didn't help.
I never said anything bad about his innings. Talking about last 4-5 overs.

This Fluency after getting set is only seen in Tamim,Mushfiq,Shakib and (sometimes ash until his brain farts). Most of the Bangladeshi batsman look tentative throughout their innings ie Imrul, Naeem, Nafees etc.

If you have an opening partnership that scores 210 runs... I am surprised that they stopped at 299, India or England wouldve taken it to 340 for sure. Yes, our bowling needs to include a player called Nazmul, who can be effective in ODIs!!! Let's not forget Shafiul and Rubel are the most inexperienced opening bowler in recent international cricket!!! and that too, they are not the most super talented either..
