চিঠিতে চৌধুরী শরাফত আসলে খোদা বক্সকে প্রকৃত অর্থে কাছ থেকে দেখেছেন কি না এ নিয়েই সন্দেহ পোষণ করা হয়, 'আপনি (শরাফত) যদি খোদা বক্স মৃধার কাছের হয়ে থাকেন, তাহলে নিশ্চয় তিনি আপনাকে জানাতেন তাঁর সহধর্মিণী কিভাবে ক্যানসারের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করে বেঁচে থাকছেন, বলতেন তাঁর প্রিয় নাতি নাইলের বেঁচে থাকার কথাও। আপনি হয়তো যাঁর কাছে হৃদয় খোলা যায় এমন কাছের মানুষ ছিলেন না তাঁর।' শোকাহত পরিবারের ক্ষুব্ধ সদস্যরা এভাবে শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে শরাফত প্রকারান্তরে খোদা বক্স মৃধাকে অসম্মান করেছেন বলেও ইঙ্গিত দিয়েছেন, 'একজন মৃত মানুষ সম্পর্কে যা লিখেছেন, তাতে প্রমাণ হয় আপনি মানুষকে সম্মান করতে জানেন না। আপনি হয়তো খোদা বক্স মৃধার মধুর কণ্ঠ, বাচনভঙ্গি, শব্দচয়ন অনুকরণ করতে পারেন, কিন্তু তাঁর মতো বিশাল হৃদয়কে আপনার বুকের পরিধির মধ্যে আটকাতে কোনোদিনই পারবেন না।'

এদিকে আগে নিউমোনিয়ায় মারা যাওয়ার কথা জানা গেলেও গতকাল খোদা বক্স মৃধার পরিবার জানিয়েছে, তিনি দীর্ঘদিন ধরে ফুসফুসের ক্যান্সারে ভুগছিলেন, কিন্তু এটা কাউকে বলেননি, জানতেও দেননি।

I never liked KMB (RIP) as commentator but was deeply saddened by his death anyway. CJS's behavior in light of all that has been quite predictable. He is a liar, a dhandabaj, an imbecile capable of inappropriately parroting bad melodrama, and that RARE someone who actually IS the way he looks. I probably won't be saddened by his eventual demise as I'm sure many won't be saddened by mine.

Anyway, ATN coverage of PCL became significantly less painful after the Jatrar Nayok Hudmah was told to take his Hadimat outside the commie box and ONLY on the field during post game presentations. We're still being waterboarded by a-commercial-every-two-balls, newsbreaks, Shamim's Anglophile chuckles, stoney camerawork and rude "cut piece" editing from FDC crackheads, but the quality of the water went from WASA to dui nombori MUM.
