Pakistan coach to be named after Bangladesh tour
Umar Farooq
December 5, 2011
The PCB coach hunt committee has decided on its choice for head coach and specialised coaches, but will make a formal announcement after the Bangladesh tour, with the incumbent in place for next January's series against England. Dav Whatmore is seen as the front-runner for the top job with Mohsin Khan, Aaqib Javed and Julien Fountain tipped to get the batting, bowling and fielding roles.

First of all JF was an Pak coach first. And then we took him. And in that case, Whatmore was Sri Lankan coach first.

I think it was Whatmore who wasn't happy in BD and was looking for a job in India and Pakistan. He was the best coach we ever had.
I wish Fountain all the best.

Pakistan's fielding leaves a lot to be desired. But, with Julien, they could become a true world-beater. I wish we retained him.

He had a great time in BD... but all good things come to an end. The cricket coaching world is tot diff a normal 9-5 job...

Pakistan was growing very strong with Mohsin. Now they will be even stronger with Whatmore. If they can keep cricket, match fixing and politics separate they can dominate the game for years to come.
