What I desire is that Humayun Ahmed through his writing will earn respect, award and even if I can see some females around him, who also earn the same, I respect all.

But What I don't expect is a story as posted in the first post (the link of Ajker Kagoj). The conjugal life of a respectable man will be broken for his affair with a girl, who is even much junior to his eldesr daughter, is not acceptable to me.

The problem is that his writings and plays reflect his personal life (See the 2nd post be nasif). And he is writing books look Amar Selebela. Hotel Graver INN, May Flower, etc.. , whick are simply portrait of his own life.

A man like Humayun can influence people easily. He also wants that. He has been repeatedly using the Himu character, Brikkho etc in his novels and Plays.

Now if people are influenced by man, who is in a very respectable position but has no self-respect, then it really matters at least considering the values of our society.

This is my opinion also. His personal life is his own. Moon also has the dark other side. We should be happy with the bright moon. It is not our business to look for the dark side. He has done enough to seal his name in history as a great writer in Bangla literature.

I dont really like to contribute on issues other than cricket. However when you post pictures, say stuff like Humayun Ahmed was awarded for his contribution to the cause of children, then show the person he had affair with and ask should he be honored any more, someone has to step in and stop all these nonsense. Firstly I gather the woman he had affair with is not a child, but a consenting adult (despite the age difference). There are many instances in the muslim religion where such nuptuals (when it will eventually happen) has taken place where there is a huge age difference. Lastly, I would say that it is none of our bloody business what he does in his private life. So my request to all members - lay off this lame issue..plz.

ah, there are some ppl with rational thinking. why bother someone's personal life. He didn't force anyone. To be with his wife or divorce is his business. We bangalees are hypocrites. Big portion of our so called educated society torture 'kajer lok' and poors and we are worried about a mutual relationship. This is definitely not cricket

I am sorry that when the story started few years back (Through the Drama Aaj Robibar), Shaon was a not an adult. She was the friend of his 2nd daughter and both were in their girlhood.

Well some person�s personal life�s diameter is to be different like politician, educationist, celebrity, social worker, religiously known personnel and some others. I.e. whose influence competence, in a positive way, over the society very significant their size of personal life is very squeezed.

Society should expect some thing extra who are being able to reform the society, but who are failed to reform their own life then the question has arisen does the society expecting from a wrong out let?

Well, to be fair, personal life of a celebrity is of immense interest to the public. It has been and it will be. Wheather we like it or not. I guess it is something by design.

I had the opportunity to spend quite some time with the gentleman in a homely environment. I think he loves to talk about his real life, family and such. I might be wrong but I think he is pretty unsatisfied and seems to be searching for something that he wanted in the first place. Well same-o-same-o stories for the celebrities, as usual.

Well personally I don't give a damn about other people's lives - celebrity or not (of course unless they are my close relatives...lol). I think that celebrities should be given the chance to lead their lives as they wish, without their privacy getting hampered. I mean okay Clinton got lucky with Monica - who cares? It's his personal life - and he was a good President. So why should the world care?
