Mexico looked like the better team? Are you kidding me? Their attack was hapless and didn't look that incisive at all. They were completely out-muscled and outclassed tactically by the South Africans. The Saffers looked like they went into the game with a plan and executed it quite well.

Did you watch the game? Mexico should've been leading the game 3-0 at half..they missed a lot of opportunities at 1st and South Africa tactically outsmarted them? They could barely have possession of the ball in the 1st half..the 2nd half was much better for them and it looked a lot more even..Mexico had the possession 65% while RSA had it for 35%..and had 6 more shots then them..so they were the better team but again 2 south africa's credit they held mexico down..

Yes they had couple of chances, but so too had SA and going with your logic SA could've had 3 goals too. It's funny how you mention possession, yes they had about 60% possession, but about 70% of that possession was passing between the goalie and the defenders. I will admit that the Mexicans certainly had greater ball skills, but the Saffers negated that with their physical attributes. With so much expectations from the Mexican, they failed to deliver. By the way, both sides had five shots on goal, so that pretty much tells you how much the possession meant for the Mexicans.
