Bangla Translation Thread
Obviously cricket related.
Often i come across quite cute bangla words/sentences and would like to post them here for translations.
Moderators can delete it if it violates any forum policies.
Here is the first one:
Quote:
ChaCha ar Rana-re petaiya tula dhuna Banaee Debay!!!
|
I suppose it talks of Chacha or Rana being beaten to pulp!!! Would look to know if that's true or what it means.

Orpheus,
It actually goes:
Quote:
When you touched my face
When you call my name
I'm burned with desire
But you left me in the rain
|
It's a trance number "Burned With Desire" From Armin Van Buuren.
I just love the part where she says "But you left me in the rain".

translation for DJ: "Bashar needs to get a teeth shattering kick! 'Shalar Bhai' (bro of bro-in-law), has no shame whats so ever "
-This is a duplicate post. I'd posted in another topic before I saw the Bangla translation thread.

Chacha = Khaled Mahmud Shujon
Morx (short for Moron) = Naimur Rahman Durjoy (during his captaincy)
Funny thing is, Durjoy means Unconquerable, ehhehehehe and Shujon = good person but Durjoy didn't live upto his name and Shujon always cries about being left out from the team and is a known trouble maker within the team.
Something you can work on:
Mushfiqur Rahman Babu = Whatmore's pet (I could get creative but I'd get in trouble, ehehehehe). Babu also means gentlemen (Bangali Babu) or a Boy/kid.
Khaled Mashud Pilot = we all know what Pilot means and looking at some of our batting collapses over the years, he has truly (despite the end result) lived upto his name.
Mehrab Hussein Opee - short for Opium (sp) user ? In other words 'Ganjakhor'/druggie. He was a kid with potential but his addiction got the better of him.
Shahriar Hussein Bidyut - Bidyut=lightening. In his case, lightening only struck once. After that, injury and bad selection policy followed by bad performane on his part left him in the cold.

paco = I guess a spanish word, which is a kind of llama, or its wool. Also a kind of ore
bozo = dude
