US Open (Golf)
The second Major of this season is underway.
Jim Furyk is heading the leaderboard with -1. one hole left on day 1.
Tiger is yet to start.
Mickelson is at Even with one hole to go.
Vijay is sitting at +1 in club house.
Other Notibles:
Adam Scott finished at +2.
Mike Wier at +1 (16).
Harrington at +2 (14).
Bjron at +3 (17).
David Duval at +5 end of 15.
Lenard(16), Goosen(14), Luke Donald(15) and Davis Love III (16) are at +7.
Nick Price (16) +9. David Toms +9.
Just by the score it seems the course is playing real tough. Tiger needs to grind it out finish within 3 of the leaderboard today. So anything +2 and up would be fine. Good luck!!

Furyk bogey's the last hole and falls to Even. Mickelson also finishes at even. We have a new leader Jeev Milkha Singh at -1 (2). i doubt he will be anywhere near the leaderboard after the round is finished. So guessing noone will finish in the red figures today. Boy, that is tough. As the days go by the course gets harder.

I am not sure if I want to laugh or cry. Colin Montgomerie finished today's round -1. The person known as the best golfer never to win a Major.
Worst possible start for tiger. But I hope he will steady the ship and keep the the score as low as possible.

golf is the worst sport any person could have invented...while it may be fun to play...one has to consider the sexual orientation of men who choose this sport.

Now I know how the extreme sports fans feel about my comments on their sports. Not a good type of feeling. Hense (lesson learned), from here on out will not comment bad about other sports that I dislike.
Golf is the best sports where a player is tested in the following categories. Patience, concentration, accuracy, consistency, skills and knowledge of the courses. This is the only game where one can somewhat measure a person's skill with the previous great ones playing their sport. A golfer mostly plays the course rather than an opponent. Those who have not tasted Golf, I suggest, for once at least go to the driving range and hit some balls (from the ground, no T's). The entire perception will change with in the first five tries. That is if you can hit the ball once in those five tries.

Woods is on the brink of missing the cut. 3 holes to go he needs a birdie to stay around for the weekend. For sure, I will not watch the US open this weekend if he misses the cut. Congrates to whoever who will win the tournament. I hope Vijay or someone new wins it. Adios to this thread.

Three holes to play two shot lead. This should be in the bag. Yet, Hefty somehow gave it away to the aussie who never even thought he could win it outright. The best he thought he could be in the playoffs.
Another choker colin monty (never won a major) had a double bogie on the 18. if he pars he wins it outright. My prayers were answered. Congrates to Mickelson for joining Sam Sneed with 4 2nd place finishes and not winning the title.
