Default Relieved Vettori disappointed with pitch

Quote:
Vettori was not pleased with New Zealand's second under-par batting display, and hoped they would do better in Chittagong, venue of the final ODI, provided a good pitch was prepared. "It wasn't the greatest score and we are lucky that Jacob [Oram] put some runs on the board for us. Once again we were scratched with the ball and Bangladesh bowled very well at the start and put pressure on us," he said. "So it's another disappointing batting performance, but on a difficult wicket. I don't think the wicket was very good for one-day cricket. We were lucky to get 212 and in the end it was good enough. We hope Chittagong will offer a true ODI wicket."

if they had one those 2 match big time, they would have said "oh how lovely pitch! just like my moms home made food!"

Hahaha..

In this pitch, India scored over 280 runs.

We scored more than 240 in some matches as well.

Vettory finds no other excuses on the low scores thats why he's now complaining about the pitch. Loser!

What are they complaining about? They couldn't bat and instead of giving credits to our bowlers they are complaining about the pitch. What a loser that Vettory is

They shouldn't complain as we don't complain about their pitches.

"My condition is good & your condition isn't" this is utterly rubish.

Suggestion for Vetori : Better try to learn to play in BD conditions as we try to adjust to yours. Take it as just another variety in the conditions. Every country has it's unique conditions of playing, this is ours. chill

Here, here. To be world class you have to play on sorts of surfaces across the world. It's because of this attitude that New Zealand are no Australia and never will be...

I respect the guy a lot but the guy is sounding foolish in this statement. I mean he is basically complaing against what international cricket is supposed to be. Different pitches n conditions in different countries; majority of the time suiting the home team. Bangladesh is country which plays its cricket on slow and low tracks and that is what any opposition will be offered when they come here.

Unless we r providing underprepared wickets they shouldn't be complaning.

That is a smart captaincy. He is creating pressure on BCB officials to prepare more batting friendly pitches for the remaining part of the tour which will defnitely favour the Kiwis.

Now, BCB should keep preparing the same wicket to take advantage of the condition.

Is the Ctg. pitch going to behave the same way like Mirpur? We should have same sorts of pitch for NZ. So we can grab the advantage.

Ctg pitch is batting friendly. Playing one day wouldn't be that much issue. Are we playing Test in Ctg? that would be very unwise for BCB official to arrange test match in Ctg unless they made the pitch spin friendly. otherise, we will be killed in Ctg in test

The only way to know what the pitch at Mirpur was really like was if Bangladesh had batted first in the second game

Like I said, bd never batted first in either game, I can't judge whether the pitch was bad or whether it was just bad batting unless BD had batted first in one of the games

The ground may be same but the pitch is different for 2nd ODI.

It was actually good bowling bowled by our tigers. Oram saved you guys, he was way to lucky to score that many runs. All the other batsman has no clue about our bowling.

What kind of pitch did we play few weeks ago in Australia? Did we complain? you guys are just lucky to stay in this series. but, we will win at teh end, wanna bet?

You guys also lucky Rakibul is injured. We will kick As*** soon in ODIs, test match is not far way

You got a win yeah, but to be honest we will wrap up the series, we have't played a good game yet and the win will increase our confidence and history shows that when Bangladesh lose, they get demoralised really easily and preform alot worse than they should (ive followed BD since their first test against India)

If bd can score 250 against india, and almost 300 against ireland (skill gap, id say is similar to bd/nz), im sure NZ should be able to get at least 250.... No need to complain because u lost to us, and ALMOST lost the series (if we only we could close a team out).
