Pretty ordinary stats, I should say. Unless he really brings down his bowling run/wic on average by 15 in tests and by 5 in ODI, I think his position will be challenged seriously. Among the many likely contenders are ...

Talha, Rajib, Shafaq......

but unless any of the above really begin to pick things up, Tapash is here to stay, for a while. Especially if he takes important wickets at important moments, regardless of his high average.

I like him, admire him, and wish him better success, but in general, not too impressed with his numbers.

We've gotten used to having him around and started taking him for granted.

I would pick Taposh over Nazmul. But if it is not possible, then at least I will get him as the 3rd seamer in the team when Nazmul is fit and drop Sujon.. That will be better...

i feel if TAPASH read soem of these comments here about him he would feel hurt, the amoutn of effort he puts in to playin for BD is 110%. he shwos all the determination and effort that may a BD cricketer lacks and doesnt show.

Tapash has the variety and also the experience. He can move the ball towards both handed batsmen....So he takes the place after masrafe in my list.

But i believe there are more better bowler than Tapash, but as long as they dont come to scene, masrafe and tapash should lead Bangladesh pace attack.

Nazmul doesnt top Tapash.

Atleast, we have some competiition now. between Mashrafe, Tapash, Nazmul, Rajib and Talha which is great for Bangladesh cricket. I think Nazmul is very good for ODI but he will not be so good in test with his pace. We will need Rajib or Talha in Tests.

Tapash Baisya is a survivor like ChaCha!

He may not be in the top most talented bowlers, but he is a consistent performer.

That is irrelevant. We are searching for bowlers who can bowl out teams. And for that to happen, we need players with long term averages around 30 runs/wic. Then only will we be competing against the 8th/7th best teams of the world.

If he improves, that is just as good compared to some other person nearing that average.

Tapash in his current state is merely a bridge between the Rafiq/Masri of the team and the rest. Should he join the ranks of the other two, well, I certainly would like that to happen. No hesitancy their - he deserves it more than anybody else.

Tapash is no doubt a workhorse. Ive noticed that he really does bowl with his heart and soul. The only complaint that I can come up with is that he does not use his arsenal as often as he should e.g. the slower delivery that he dismissed D. Bravo with,,is a champion delivery and yet it is underused.
I had a thought, we could use Tapash as a lower urder pinch hitter.

Tapash plays as a all rounder in his division club. He's a good middle order batsman. He's bowling is also good. Last few matches he bowled bad at the death but he's still a good bowler. In England, Mash & Tapash will be our openning bowlers in ODI & Test.
