TAMIM IQBAL might have to return from england
according to Prothom Alo news Tamim Iqbal has not recovering well from his hand injury.
today he is gonna visit a Specialist and then may return home.
i think it was a stupid decision first to go to T20 WC without proper healing of the injured hand. certainly the situation worsened in WI. those who said he will be OK should get some sort of punishment. with proper rest he could have been ready for england series, now he looks a liability and could miss the series
Selectors have said they will send somebody to replace tamim, if he cant continue, though they haven't decided who will go.

I said it back then, we are not going to get much out of the T20 world cup. He should focus on the England tour and forget about the T20. We are so screwed if this is true.

is it me or is tamim always hurried and messed around with injuries? probably because he's so vital to the team they put that pressure on him, but it's better to let it recover properly than rushing it, think of the long term.

I did not like the idea of a half fit Tamim playing in the T20 WC, but perhaps the team was too hungry for the win and Tamim also wanted to play. A fair gamble I would say, and I don't think a 17 ball innings could have done too much damage to his hand.
Wish him a quick recovery, without him our top order will crumble like dried up leaves against Eng.

Tamim loves to play. He loves being the center of attention and he hates missing out on playing. So I think he pushes himself a bit too much and i'm sure management don't handle this stuff properly. We almost lost mash to Injury, I hope nothing bad happens to any of our other players.

Blessing in disguise! Wishing speedy recovery to Tamim. Nothing p.o-es me than fans acting as if the sky has fallen because one player is missing because of their obsessive dependency on a single player to perform. This has to stop. We should learn how to play well with our wildcards missing.
Toughen up y'all ffs.

both made great points ! I really dont think that 17 ball innings could have really contributed a great deal to his injury and i really dont think bangladesh should also rely one and only on him. But believe it or not, without tamim the team looks pale a little.
But recovery matters above anything else so i hope this time he takes his time to recover fully before getting back on playing again.

not only 17 deliveries..... he may have faced 170 deliveries in nets leading up to the pakistan game. also he was practicing in nets for the AUS game and said he was feeling pain while playing pacers. so may be another 170 deliveries there in nets.

Well, that's a shame. I wish he got enough rest and hadn't played T20 WC.
It's still ok for him to skip this series. As long as he's fit for upcoming years, that's all we care for.

I really didnt know he practiced. I thought he just went in there to play the main event or something, after not seeing him play the practice matches. Well if that was the case then he shouldnt be there first place. You're right. But these events, both the T20 WC and the england tour, is schduled so close that do you think it really would have made a lot of difference ? thats something else to think about. may be he would have gotten like 10-15 days of rest before being back on the nets again.
But yes ideally i would definitely rest him until his injury gets healed completely.

very very bad. without Tamim BD batting totally toothless. last T20 match proves so. now i cant expect anything from England tour. there's no alternative of him. and english team will get great advantages of it.
[Ps: Stupid team management and selectors. they can't calculate how to utilize most valuable player for the important matches. just after getting injured in the match of NCL Tamim should had been ORDERED complete rest untill next series.

Perfect ...... they should learn to play as a team...... these dependencies ultimately dooms the cricketer & the team. Ash is a perfect example.

Khelo!! Aro T20 khelo!!! Nothing good came out of this faltu format for BD. Starting from PCL, NCL T20 and WC T20. We still drop catches!! Why do we have to play our national players in this faltu format? Mo Rafique and the young ones couldn't have done any worse. Winning against Barbadose in a practice match that is about it.
