Lee and Luus were architects of a great win for the SA women team.
Chasing 161, they were set back in the first over when they lost Wolvaardt. That's when Lee and Luus set them up nicely with a 103-run 2nd wicket partnership
Lee cracked 68 off 37 balls (4x4,6x6), and Luus was unbeaten on 63* off 52 balls (6x4,2x6)
They beat England by 5 wickets

Jahanara Alam created history today, becoming the 1st BD woman to take a five-wicket haul in international cricket

Woow! That is great news, aklemalp! I did not know that, although followed the match on cricinfo, but I totally missed the fact that your beloved Jahanara Alam took all those wickets - and a five wicket haul to be exact!
Salute Jahanara Alam! Congrats!

A milestone for BD women cricket
Record:
New highest T20I total for BD. They just went past their previous highest of 142/3 against India in the Asia Cup a few weeks ago.

Dear brother Out_You_Go,
I/we need some information on our team's ICC T20I world cup qualification matches in Netherlands schedule. I can't seem to find anything on them! Nothing on Tigercricket.com or cricinfo either.
Our team should be in the Netherlands right now.
Many thanks in advance!

"Indian women Twenty20 captain and Arjuna awardee Harmanpreet Kaur has been caught on a sticky wicket. She is likely to lose her job as deputy superintendent of police (DSP) in Punjab as the police verification has found her graduation degree to be bogus."

Very sad news. I am a huge fan of cricketer/athlete Harmanpreet Kaur. If proven and she is guilty as charged, it is very bad of her - but still I pray for Harmanpreet Kaur, hope she comes out of this trouble and learn from her mistake. One of the greatest batters of the game of cricket I have ever seen. Great cricketer!
I wish her all the best. Very sad to hear this news.

Also it is the responsibility of Punjab or Jalandhar Police and the Indian Railway to check a job applicant's credentials (academic, past job, experience, criminal record everything!) before considering her/him for a position. Utter failure and incompetence! I am not simply 'protecting' or blindly taking side with Harmanpreet Kaur here, just expressing how upset this made me!

I have to agree with Bujhee Kom bro here. The employers should have checked the credentials but sadly thats how incompetent alot of public workers are. I just want to know how it got flagged so late. But anways it was wrong for Kaur to submit such details and if proven guilty I wonder if it is a criminal offence in India to submit fraudulent papers.

The win against PNG women was the 2nd largest in terms of balls remaining (31balls)and wickets remaining (8 wkts) for BD women.
BD's biggest win by balls remaining is 53 balls against Thai Women in the Asia Cup last month. The biggest win by wickets was also in that same game: 9 wickets

Niekerk is captain. I wonder if she drops her wife from the final XI, what will be the consequences at home? No talking, food...one of them will have to sleep on the couch.
But they are professionals, they can handle this.

A magnificent 55-ball century from Lizelle Lee took Surrey Stars to their maiden Kia Super League title, her side racking up 183 or 6 - their highest KSL total - before bowling Loughborough Lightning out for 117.
|
She was always dominant...the pugnacious South African batter. It was only a matter of time before she started to prevail against the bowlers.
Great knock
