Default Milestone Watch: Shahriar Nafees getting fastest 1000 ODI runs & 3rd ODI-100!

Shahriar Nafees is on 953 from 28 matches and needs 47 more runs to get to his 1000 runs and he may very well get that tomorrow. It appears that he will be the fastest among BD batsmen to get to his 1000 runs if he gets it soon. Best of luck to him and also hoping he will become the fist BD batsman to get to 3rd ODI hundred in this series... maybe more.

I think he need 300 odd runs to get 1000 runs in this calender year. He have 5+ matches (I do not know abt scots schedule). Good luck SN

That will be really something. Considering SN's current form, it is not unrealistic to expect him to score 301 runs in the next seven ODIs.

But then again, we're falling into the trap of high hopes and great expectations from our players. All I'll say is, I hope he does well, and will stop myself from expecting a whole lot

I think we should play against some reasonable sides.

Nafees should get his 1000 runs today! Though I agree with James, we do need to play stronger opponents for both improvement of our players and preparation for the WC, which so far is quite inadequate.

He hasn't scored a single ODI 50 in this year against strong teams (we played 8 matches against SL/AUS/WI)

Shahriar nafees just crossed 50. Congrat to him for crossing the 1000 run mark... I hope other batsmen follows his suit. I hope Sakib will do this in fewer matches.

Great job no doubt, especially I liked his attitude, the way he put value to his wicket to achieve 100 and finish the innings unbeaten. After scoring 75+ runs he never rushed to score runs, was a very matured approach according to this match demand.

Once again great job Nafees, please carry on.

This boy has the attributes of a true sportsman, skills & temperment of a mature batsman and potential to be our future captain. He's still young and I wish him all the best in many years to come. Keep it up Nafees!

Currently SN averages 119 against Zimbabwe.

Zim players should see SN in their dreams

Very much possible if he can maintain current form.

He needs 196 more run to achieve that feat.
