Consistency is the problem.
Shakib or SN couldn't continue their performance from the 1st innings. Our tailenders also need to know how to bat! For how many more years are we going to be satisfied with taileneders scoring single digit or no runs ?
And, Tamim's approach was just wrong. He tried to do ODI batting cos he wasn't doing well in any of the Tests. Yeah, he got some runs, but whats the point if he can't bat out the overs and prolong the match ? Which leads me to question if he is suited to be a Test batsman ?

Sure, but the high chance of mis-hitting that shot is the reason you don't go for it there, ESPECIALLY when there's no one else who stands a chance of lasting for a while. Honestly we wouldn't have had to have lasted too many more overs to make this a dicier proposition for Pakistan. Mushy has to know better there.
