Anamul is not good enough for International cricket
Four matches versus two of the weakest teams in international cricket and he has been exposed badly, it seems his batting has become worse with time. Absolutely zero foot movement, it's not the lack of runs but how awful his batting technique is. Should we continue giving this guy chances when it seems certain he will be a failure in international cricket?
It doesn't give good signs about our domestic cricket as well that a player of such technique can score so many runs there.

Enough with this bolod. Imrul is a good enough stop gap option. It's a total waste to give such below par players opportunities.
Groom LKD for upcoming tours. Ask him to give up keeper gloves and focus on batting.

So much for Vijay's long hair celebration.
Has not improved at all, zero footwork.

His footwork is like 'para' cricket. Feet and bat both wobble along with jerky body movement. Very poor technique. He is not going to average 10 with this sort of footwork. Very bad.

Anamul, hasn’t worked. Riyad is ok option, he did bat superb with Shakib against NZ. Big concerns with the positions atm taken by Sabbir, Nasir.
Saif should be playing instead of Nasir. Or Mossadekk. Nasir has lost his game, cant be having him for his few overs he gets selected as a batsman first.
Saif, Mossadekk better options 7/8. Mossadekk handy bowler at times too. Saif can hit big shots!

Only thing changed in Bijoy since we last saw him is the growth of his hair.
He has not grown into a better batsman it seems.

I hope the overall batting failure of others today doesn't take away the attention from his massive deficiencies as a batsman to the selectors, the sooner we try new young talents instead of him the better

I'd prefer to carry on with Soumya than anamul, also got Liton and shanto as promising top order bats, zakir has been putting his hand up lately as well, mosaddek deserves chances, mominul.
I hope the selectors come up with more in depth selection plans. Mosaddek for example doesn't need to be pushed in t20s, Soumya for now doesn't need to be pushed in tests. Shanto doesn't need to be in the t20 set up at this stage, Liton doesn't need to be in t20s either. Mominul can be a test specialist for the time being.
Actually anamul can still be in the t20 squad, same with Sabbir (though I disagree with selecting someone due to his recent issues).

OP summed it up well about his lack of technique, namely footwork, and our domestic cricket level.
I'll also add that he lacks in personality. Without the right personality and maturity level, no player succeeds or realizes their potential.

This is a huge setback for our cricket because he was a star as an u19 cricketer and when he started for the national side he was also a very decent option. Somehow our system is failing guys like him as we keep jumping on to the next u19 star. I am sure now the talk will be on getting Saif or Afif who are not ready and in the end will get thrown into the deep end. We need to solve the problem of Anamul because we are creating a generation gap in between the top tier and the fringe players capable of filling the shoes of national players. This is going to be just like Sri Lanka, where Sanga Jaya Dilshan left a huge void in the end.

Tamim's ODI partner should be Imrul atm...while we wait on Soumya to get back on form, if he ever does.
No to leg-side Litton. Doubt he's ready for LOIs already.
Imrul averaged 37.5 in ODIs in past two years (12 innings). That's 3rd-highest in the team after Tamim and Mushy.

Another experiment worth trying out is Mominul opening with Tamim.
Has the technique to see out the new ball, very good with the field up in the circle.
SL promoted Dilshan from middle order to opener, India tried the same with Rohit Sharma.
So if we dont have any more options beyond Soumya and Imrul, worthwhile trying sth else.

QD Kock and Anamul were of the same batch, look at how different their directions turned out

Good news for Kaedge lovers. He is probably going to replace Anamul in the final:
