Very likely the selectors will go with 10 of these players. I would be happy with this but i think nafees will get selected ahead of Ayub.

Yeah no, There is nothing to be gained financially or statistically by playing Bangladesh so lesser the better I say.

I think if anyone should be replaced it should be naeem..But SN dosent deserve anymore chances full stop. We must look towards the future. Marshall has scored most runs in year in fc cricket so im sure he will be selected, selectors cant ignore him.

From the last Test squad, Junaid and Nazim are good as gone from the side. So there are basically 2 spots that are left. I feel that they'll take 1 middle order and 1 top order bat. So it'll probably come down to SN, Mominul, Jahurul and Marshal.

^^ I don't think giving debut to two players at the top of the order is a good strategy. I would force Mahmudullah to bat up the order because he is now a very experienced player and should take up more responsibility instead of choosing to hide at the back of the order. Mahmudullah should bat 3 or 4 together with Naeem as these two guys seems to have the temperament for Test cricket. Ayub should be slotted in somewhere lower down the order so that we can ease him into international cricket.

News thread e kajer khobor na diye shobai jokhon abol tabol pechal partesen tahole amio apnader shathe jog dei.
If I were to select a T20 squad tomorrow, this is probably what it would look like:
1. Tamim
2. Jahirul (there's no way we can ignore him at this point; at #2 because other positions are taken and he's had experience opening)
3. Shakib (best batsman must come in early)
4. Riyad (man up and bat up or get lost)
5. Nasir
6. Rahim (probably better as a finisher than an upper middle order)
7. Sabbir (he looks ready)
8. Gazi
9. Mashrafe (man up and quit complaining about getting dropped)
10. Razzak
11. Nazmul
12. Anamul
13. Nafees (still tonking medium pacers and spinners, but hard to ignore him)
14. Rubel

Anamul 12? You're kidding right? Swap between Riyad and Anamul. And harsh on Milon.
1. Tamim
2. Anamul
3. Omi
4. Shakib
5. Sabbir
6. Nasir
7. Milon
8. Gazi
9. Mashrafe
10. Shafiul
11. Mosharraf Hossain
Awesome batting depth on paper IMO.
12. Nafees
13. Razzak
14. Shamsur

10) Rubel
11) Shafiul
-----------------------------------------
12) Marshall Ayub

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
ODI & T20:
1) Tamim

You have to look at the quality of Wrongpur's attack before judging Anamul's 80+ today. He's been pretty inconsistent, whereas Jahirul has been in the form of his life and I think we should take advantage of that in the short term. Anamul is one for the long run, of course and he has it in him to become more consistent with time.
Riyad has it in him as well, just needs to bat up. Too early for Milon, let him make up for what he lacks in technique and talent with consistency first.

Anamul has NOT been inconsistent. He's scored a string of 30s, and 2 fifties, including a really big fifty in 8 matches. That might not be at Gayle status, but its very solid for T20s. I think Jahirul should get an extended run in a format and position that suits his natural game, if there is no one better than him clearly raising their hand, but not at the expense of Anamul.

This is my T20 team. Wouldn't have made one but since T20s seem to be gaining some kind of importance, i will make a team for the sake of it. I would even consider leaving Tamim/Shakib out of T20s so we can expose other youngsters/potential players.
1. Shahriar Nafees
2. Shamsur Rahman
3. Anamul Haque
4. Jahurul Islam
5. Nasir Hossain
6. Mushfiqur Rahim
7. Shabbir Rahman
8. Sohag Gazi
9. Abdur Razzak
10. Shafiul Islam
11. Rubel Hossain

I just don't see who we could drop from the middle order. Maybe Riyad, but that won't happen. It probably should, but won't.
Minus that 80 something against a poor attack, Jahirul has been the superior of the two. I doubt Jahirul will last long though, which is why I said he's probably a very short term solution. I admit the comparison is a difficult one, because the two have played different roles for their respective teams this year and have more or less done the job. I guess what I'm saying is I wouldn't be too flustered either way.
