Analysing Day 1 of 2nd Test Match vs New Zealand
I think I was very happy with the result and score. Honestly, this is the most inexperienced 11 we have fielded for a long time, the bowling side is balanced and good but the batting is heavily inexeperienced. I was expecting a below 200 score but I will take 257/8 for the time being off 66 overs. The result of this test match does not look to be going in our favour but with Imrul, Mushfiqur and Mominul out, I can't really imagine and ask for 400/500 from these batsmen. If we had experienced batters like Anamul, Nafees or Nasir maybe, and that is not possible for this test match so overall I am happy with the score, I can't really complain with the selection that much as well.
I am expecting the bowling to get us some quick wickets to change the match though, I think it is a good attack (best under the circumstances).

This match makes me upset again that Nasir has been left home.
It was simply ridiculous to see a 18 year old Shanto, with experience of only 12 FC matches at home, clearly not prepared to handle barrage of short balls he faced, was handed debut today.

List of first team players missing:
1) Mushfiqur - Captain btw
2) Imrul - Opener
3) Mominul
4) Mustafizur - been missing for sometime but would have been first choice if fit
5) Shahid - First choice seamer in tests
These are just the first choice players, if you consider players like Nasir, Liton, Anamul, Mosaddek, Shafiul, Anamul... then suddenly you realize this is not even the best possible Bangladesh squad.
Very happy with the current performance actually.

Pakistan managed just 133 at this ground with their full strength batting lineup.
If our first choice batting lineup averages:
Tamim 40
Imrul 28
Momin 51
Riyad 30
Mushy 34
Shakib 41
Sabbir 50 but excluding him as he is so new
We are missing just over 50% of our top 6 batting output. Hard to replace with 2 debutants and a guy pplaying his 4th test. So if we get 300 that is a decent job.

And Mosaddek.
However Mominul and Shakib handled teh short ball the best, and all they did was duck. Shanto's technique apart from bouncers, looks better than everyone else barring Mushy (even better than Mominul).

Most of our wickets were gifted too, edging it when its going down leg!
Sabbir got a good delivery tho

Don't think it was much greener than this one. We've got a sporting track. NZ should get between 350-400 depending on how we bowl.
Pak have fairly signficant edge on the bowling front.

reading in cricinfo, it says NZ has done well in restricting BD in a flat deck

It was not flat as the first test but it will be tommorrow. 400 is bare minimum in this pitch and with our bowling line up we needed 500. Nz will score 550+

It was swinging after 60 overs, it'll flatten out in days 2 and 3

We used to fold under 200, now we fold under 300. But we still end up playing less than 90 overs. I do not see much improvement.
