Any non-Bengalies in Bangladesh cricket system? (Men)
How many non bengalies played cricket in Bangladeshi fc, list As?
We know that bengalies are big majority of our country, around 98%+. So it is no weird that almost 0 non bengalies played in Bangladesh national team. But still there are good amount of non bengalies who have represented BD at international level for other sports. Also I heared that pahari people are good at sports, has good stamina too.
So Is there any other player of another ethnic community who has represented Bangladesh at international Cricket. Overall just curious.
Actually I made this thread after seeing one this type of thread in another forum. Then I started to think about our cricket and decided to open the thread. I know it will not catch anyone's attention as English are at home..still posted it.

The Pahari people (as you named them) are the original BANGALI. Not the Indo-Aryans'. We kinda kicked them out.

Akram Khan, Javed Omar Belim, Athar Ali Khan, Nafis Iqbal Khan, Tamim Iqbal Khan....I know they are ethnically from Bihar, their ancestors are from Bihar who migrated to East Bengal after the 47 partition. So they are the ethnically non-bengali cricketers of Bangladesh..

Oh please. I don't know if any of our cricketers' ancestors came from Bihar or Uganda or whatever. All the cricketers who have played for BD so far, are born and brought up in BD, speak in Bangla and are absolutely assimilated to our culture. So, to my knowledge there has never been a non Bengali cricketer in our national team. Even if there were, it would have been OK. But we have a big population of ours to choose from, so there has been no need for it so far. So please stop being a bunch of birthers like Donald Trump. Although I would love to see some Pahari cricketers play in our national team.

Chill man. It doesn't matter if you are ethnically bengali, bihari or pahari as long as u r a bangladeshi. It's ok for ur ancestors to be of different ethnicity. For all I care my ancestors are from Hadramaut, Yemen and before that from the Hashemite clan of the Quraish tribe of Makkah, Arabia. But in now at present time I'm more Bengali than anyone...so it's not a big deal.

Lol funny that you mentioned that, because my grandma once said similar things to me that we were a descendant of the Saudis.

Well few might different origin, in terms of backgrounds. But even if they were something else originally; now they're fully Bangali.

I heard CONfiqur came from Planet Undroppable in an UFO. That does qualify him as a non bengali given that he has alien blood?

I also heard my ancestors are from the Mondol tribe of Assam, Northeast India and before that the Mondoling tribe of Bhutan. They started their journey to modern day BD with 4 cows. While coming through the NE region, 2 cows were stolen (in the land of modern day Sylhet) and so they had to stop their journey at Mymensingh.

Bangladesh is a mix of Aryan, Indian, Persian, part Turkish, part Arab it's all mixed really. (That's why you find people of all colors and types in Bangladesh)...

I would buy that argument actually. Mecca -> Decca...People in Makka and their "chal-cholon"(meaning, way of life) is very very similar to Bangladeshies. I saw a Drama in Mecca TV after iftaar and i kid you not....it looked liked it was produced by Mokhles uncle from Bangladeshi village type drama.

not sure about any players, but I know ShamCha is British. In fact, he can trace his ancestry to the Duke of Northumbria. But during the War of Roses, his family was exiled to the region of Bengal. You can hide his highness by skin tones but can't hide his royal accent. Do you guys think he says "delectable" and "fag-ends" by accident? No, it's in his veins, blood everywhere..
