Cites "local sentiment" and says they can't provide security. Poor stuff from Himachal. He should know that BCCI takes responsibility if they choose to host global events. Otherwise you have to first kick Pakistan out of the ICC. Good move from BCCI man Thakur to tell Himachal to zip it.

I hope Indian people see the real face of congress, they won't hesitate to tarnish country's image to hurt BJP. It will backfire though.

Unless there was a specific security threat against the Pakistan team, the match should go ahead. If there was a specific threat against the Pakistan team then ... the match will still go ahead. What? You expect a different outcome? We aren't talking of touring Bangladesh (or not if you are Australia) - this is the country where you go to get PAID as a cricketer. Ajaira drama.

I am not sure but I thought BJP is in power now. So why does the opposition have so much power to move a WC game.

I think BCCI is in talks with GOVT they ll get it done more likely will remain in Dharma if state GOVT annoys BJP they ll use central security..

hmm interesting. yeah it will only hurt India's image. What is Congress' main argument about not hosting Pakistan? I thought they were the more liberal and less anti Pak party out of the two.
