Some manga are really good, the main reason for me getting a tablet is to read manga on it.

Kids will love it. Not a very mature movie.

Just finished Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and I absolutely loved it. Considering whether to watch the original too.

Will start Code Geass now.

I found OPM so friggin overrated, fell asleep in couple of the episodes.

Akame Ga Kill is quite good, but should be avoided by fans who get attached to characters too easily. Its the GoT of the anime world

Well the original story created by the author was fulfilled by Brotherhood. The 2003 version only followed it partly, and then diverted off to create their own ending due to already catching up to the author's work. I never watched the 03 version.

Just finished Code Geass, amazing show and yes I am a massive Lelouch fanboy. Loved the guy and agreed with his stance.

Probably start Tokyo Ghoul next. Anime is fantastic so far tbh, loved every show I've watched so far.

Code Geass is a masterpiece in anime

As an aside, anyone waiting for attack on Titan next year, would be interested in watching kabaneri of the iron fortress. Great anime of similar genre, by the same studio.

There are some Code Geass OVA's which have been very slowly released.

Finished the original Fullmetal Alchemist.

Fantastic again, preferred the methods surrounding the humunculi origins here and thought it was much more poetic than in Brotherhood. The humunculi themselves receive so much more character development, Lust and Greed in particular. Differs in many key ways from Brotherhood especially the ending so even if you seen FMAB this is worth a look. Alphonse is such a whiney pain in the 2003 version I must say, didnt warm to him whatsoever.

A fantastic show, much darker than Brotherhood and also slower, once the filler filled first 25 episodes are done the show really kicks off. So so gutted I've no more FMA to watch, I could honestly watch 1000's of episodes set in this universe with these characters, would love a spin off show about Greed to be announced but alas I'm well in pipedream territory with that one haha.

OST is also exceptional. Best two tracks for me.

I'd advise watching Brotherhood first as it is still fantastic and it is canon, if like me you adored Brotherhood and want to see its characters in different light with different outcomes, definitely give this a try, you may like me almost find yourself preferring it

Finished Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate.

Finding it really difficult to say which I preferred, both are excellent, 2003 has a far better style and general theme (no forced comedy), whereas Ultimate has a more coherent plot, less loose ends, fantastic action.

Damnit :/

Didnt like hellsing/ultimate.. reminded me of Steven Seagal movies where the hero is invincible and the bad guys are just there to get punched. It was boring as hell.

That fits Saitama's description more acurately.

Alucard and Guts are one of the biggest badasses out there in anime

Speaking of Guts, idk how I feel about the new Berserk reboot with a CGI art style. Feels too....mechanical? Kinda has a laggy feel to the movements, and not as smooth, they should have just stuck to regular animation.

Saitama is a parody of invincibility.

Any recommendation for 90s anime? I prefer long series(25 or more episodes).

Disagree, the 2001 series was very dark and gritty, which I preferred, Hellsing was more of an anti hero. Ultimate he does get overpowered I'll agree, plus cartoonishly evil at times which I disliked. But even in Ultimate he hardly has things his own way, same for his allies, which anyone who's watched the series will know.Hell the body count in both for the allies side is ridiculous.

Vowboy Bebop is very highly recommended, might check it out myself soon.

If you dont mind early 2000's I highly recommend the 2003 Full Metal Alchemist.
