want a triple century so badly... only one in so many games & so many seasons of 1st class cricket is too poor for a test playing nation

ashraful or .. whoever wants to leap-frog to glory..

its really sad actually..by now we should have had way more triple centuries then just 1..forget about our domestic players..even most of the national team players don't have a double century to brag about..the real problem is temperament in our leagues and unfortunately only Roqibul could show the proper temperament to score 313*..what I thought was even more impressive was how he played 700+ balls..if our players just show more mental toughness then we could see more FC triple centuries..

thanks Miraz bhai..appreciate it..Ash scored a breezy century..hope he continues the good work..Hope Shuvagoto Hom and Anamul score centuries..Hom is such an impressive player..hope he continues to score centuries..who knows if he scores 4 centuries in the next 4-5 matches then we could possibly see him against Zimbabwe..Nazim continues to be a domestic bully..good that he keeps on scoring and getting the selectors to look stupid..he should have really been taken instead of SN..

Shuvagoto is a star. He is carrying on from where he left off last year. 81 from 161 and still unbeaten. For my money he is batting too low. He should be ahead of gadhas like Mehrab. Also great to see Anamul playing well. I didn't expect him to start. If he has a good season he can overtake Sahagir, Dhiman and Mithun as Mushy's understudy earlier than we expected.

And kudos to Ash. But I hope his fanboys don't start shouting for his immediate return. He needs to show consistency.

Lol I missed Ash's century when I looked at the scorecard (thanks Miraz bhai), I guess my brain automatically assumed it was gonna be '13' not 113.

I sincerely hope Ash can rediscover himself as a very consistent batsman who puts worth on his wicket. An Ash with full potential in middle order will make a decent batting lineup. Hopefully this is the start of his dream comeback...

this thread needs to be a sticky...

was just talking to Sohel bhai...i wanna remind us all of the important thing about the NCL. its quality is "atrocious", but there is still some value. large individual innings have no meaning or merit, unless part of a pattern of consistent run scoring. it is the average that needs to be looked at, the number of 100s or 50s a batsman scores.

but at least the pipeline has given us Jahirul and Imrul...somewhat decent guys we can work with in teh absence of better players.

Default anamul the dynamite rocks...

anamul reached in 93 balls
shuvagoto scored his in 83 balls

what happened then?

anamul added another 32 in 21 balls
shuvagoto's next 31 runs came off 78 balls!

very interesting...
