Default Sahadat out of Zim Series

Very disappointing. Sahadat Hossian, our lead pacer in Tests has been injured while playing beach football yesterday and will not be fit in next 6 weeks. This is a big blow for us

Worrying factor, now our pace attack is weaker than that of Zimbabwe!

Just wonderful! Rajib would have been a terror over there in their bouncy pitches.

Razib is our best bowler in Test. Loosing him is uncompensable.

Such a terrible news.
I hope he gets picked in the Zim squad.
First test match is still more than a month away and Inshallah he should be fine by then.
Its just couple of stitches. Nothing major. They are professional athletes and have a better healing ability.

Without Shahadat, our test pace attack would be mundane.

6 weeks recovery is 42 days. I don't think he'll make it.

On another note, Zimbabwe will be happy, this guy to a hat trick against them.

Damn who are we going to replace him with? I'm not sure if Robiul or Mahbubul are a good enough replacement. This could be a blessing in disguise, hopefully Shuvo can make his debut.

I wouldn't take two spinners, seen as though Mahmudullah and Shakib will be okay, as they are all rounders. We need to ask Ian.

Oh come on. People get injured in training. Anderson got injured while boxing pre-ashes you don't see people complaining.

Then who do you suggest? Shuvo averages something like 21 with the ball in first class cricket and has taken maybe 150+ wickets I think.

Firstly, Zimbabwe is not good for spin bowling, and suits pace bowlers.
And I would suggest Nazmul hossain.

This is very bad news for us. Our only true test pacer is now gone. Not only that but he could've done well in the ODIs since it is Zimbabwe. Also Shafiul's been injured and just got back in to training. I guess we have to bring Robiul and Mahmubul there and hope for the best.

Nazmul Hossain would be great for ODIs. Also Zimbabwe just sucks against spin so in any condition, they'll struggle. Just because the pitch is hard and flat, doesn't mean they'll stop losing their wickets against spin. So Shuvo might not be a bad idea.

The only way you lose wickets against spin on pitches like the ones in zimbabwe is missing the ball while coming down the track and getting stumped, or hitting out.

Not really true bro. Watch the highlights of the last Zimbabwe tour. Some got out LBW.

Test bowling attack: Shafiul, Rubel, Nazmul, Shakib, Ryad

Maybe the ZIM series is a chance to take a new quick bowler too?
Even Ian agrees Nazmul is the right choice.

Some. Playing on the back foot, and that isn't the best thing in cricket, you always want to be forward bro. That is the mistake of the Batsmen essentially.
