Premier Cricket Starts from Thursday (25th November)
At last the Premier Cricket will start on Thursday. The following teams are going to participate in this league:
1. Victoria. Key Players: Pilot, Alok, Rajjak, Talha Jubaer, Shezan, Mohammad Shahazada, Gazi Salahuddin, Ehsanul Haq, Fahadullah (PAK), Wasim Naim (Pak)
2. Mohamedans. Key Players: Bashar, Nafis Iqbal, Rafique, Nannu, Bidyut, Mashrafee, Shamsur Rahman, Monzurul Islam, Tikolo(KEN)
3. Old DOHS. Key Players: Akram, Al-Shahriar, Foisal, Hannan, Nazmul, Hasibul Hossain, Nadif Chowdhury, Nazimuddin, Shahadat Hossain Rajib, Selim Elahi (PAK)
4. City Club. Key Players: Cha Cha, Rajin, Tarek Aziz, Shahriar Nafees, Mehrab Hossain Opee, Moniruzzaman Moni, Tushar Imran, Saifullah Jem(left-arm spinner), Sridharan Sriram (IND)
5. Brothers Union. Key Players: Javed, Tapash, Aftab, Fahim Muntasir.
6. Abahani. Key Players: Rana, Mahmud Ullah Riyad, Naimur Rahman
7. Biman. Key Players: Ashraful, Sanwar
8. Agrani Bank
9. Indira Road
10. Uttara. Key Players: Ahsanullah, Shipon
11. Orient
12. Young Pegasus
On paper, the follow teams looks like have the upper hand:
- Victoria, Mohamedans, Old DOHS and City Club.
The strength of the following teams are still unknown:
- Brothers Union, Biman, Abahani.
The rest of the teams most likely will not provide any competition. However they are the one who may produce some new wonders and future prospective stars for us.
Also there are two key things to note:
1. The availability of National players for the full duration of the league is questionable.
2. Each team is allowed to recruit 3 foreign players.
These will definitely change the strength of some the teams (specially the top seven teams) well beyond the middle of the tournament.
Please feel free to add the key players players that I may have missed.

As usual, i will be supporting Biman, my old team! Although i probably know less than 20% of the players in the squad but I think the think-tank in the Biman team aren't as corrupted and retards as some of the officials in some other teams!

I was really surprised to see the first-class level cricket not in the itinerary this season. I was in fact going to post up a new thread about having 3-day games in the domestic competitions. That will help the progress of our national team immensely in the Test arena. The 20-20 cricket won't really help us much for Tests but the 3-day competition will. We can also notice that most of the national teams players actually don't perform well consistently in such competitions but they're in the Test team! Also i think the league needs to start much earlier than the last week of November, coz by February-March the rains will come down again and we won't have much domestic cricket played in 2-3 months!

I am a fan of Abahani too. But I support every team now. Because I wanna see all of our cricketrs are playing well in the league which will be very helpful for them to play in the national team.

All my life I supported Mohamedan. But since my own 'parar' team (Old DOHS) is playing I will support them all the way. They have the players in the team to give good threat to Victoria and Mohamedan.
But like arafath79 said, I will look for more young guns (like Ash) come up and grab their opprotunities. Because we need them.

Defending champion Victoria lost to Agrani Bank by 24 runs.
Agrani Bank: 199/9 (50 overs)
Victoria : 175/10 (44 overs)
Cannot believe Victoria with Masud, kapali, Razzak, ... cannot survive 50 overs against Agrani bank. Congratulation Abul Basher (played in U19 world cup) for good batting (he scored 85).

I was wondering if Chinaman bhai can make a Database where we will be able to see how the players are performing in the premier league. It can be updated once or twice a week so that we can get the latest stats of the players.
