BDFlag Congratulation to Mashrafe bin Mortaza, the new Bangladesh Captain

Heartfelt congratulations to Mashrafe bin Mortaza, the new Bangladesh Captain. Hope you will be the exception among all Bangladesh Captains and will silence all your critiques by leading from the front.

Lol, both of us opened the congratulation thread at the same time exactly. But I should have the honor of opening this congratulation thread, because I am one of biggest supporter of Mortaza while you have been cynical about Mortaza's ability to captain Bangladesh.

I think People are under-estimating Mashrafee's ability to lead this team.

Even though he was not my first choice as a Captain, I still have enough faith in him to hope that he will be much better than the last two captains that we had.

When he lead Abahani to Championship beating much better teams on paper, he did some amazing things as a Captain as well as a player.

Some people strink under additional pressure, and some people rise...and how you know who is a doer and who is a pretender.... and the way they do is using the brain and excelling individually to set the tone about what is expected from the rest. Then its much easy to demand with authority from the rest to perform.

So congratualtion Mashrafee and suprise us in a positive way.

Wheather I like him or not, but he is our captain and I have trust on him.

I gave you more than 24 hours to open a thread, but you haven't proven to be a good fan either. It was unfortunate that Mash fans (Except You Shardul Bh ) were too busy bashing Ash and forgot to congratulate him.

Well I don't mind to give you the opportunity, as long as our captain and vice gets the due honour it's ok. Go ahead Shardul Bhai.

One more thing; I was at times critical about him and still hold those, I never was cynical about Mash or any player of our team. Players are above the coaches and BCB to me as a cricket fan. At the end of the day, they are the one who entertains us.

Hope this is the beginning of something good. He did a pretty good job with Abahani earlier this year and although leading a test team is a whole lot different, it does show he's got it in him to be a successful leader. Whether he will actually be successful only time will tell, as it always does.

BANFAN bhai, I am not sure if you believe me or not, as soon as Mash was declared our captain, the congratulation thread came into my mind. But for some reasons I didn't open it in BC. In my facebook profile, I have congratulated mash even before the official declaration.

Merged. Sorry Shardul, the system merges posts in chronological order, and you fell behind by a matter of seconds.

It wont make too much of a difference now will it whetheri ts Mortaza or Ashraful I believe
Ashraful wasnt foolish in leadership, only it was that his leadership meant added pressure on his batting and he does do well in normal matches but not much so in the big stage.
Hope Mortaza can still bowl well whilst being tactful on the field

Congrats to both Mash and Sakib! Hope they have a wonderful time as captain and vcaptain. I however never hated Ash's captaincy. As I have said in another thread, I think he is a very gutsy captain, and was very good for BD. His only problem was with his own batting.
