Jane McGrath dead at 42
Jane McGrath, the wife of former Test cricketer Glenn McGrath, has died of cancer at the age of 42.
She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997.
Cricket Australia said in a statement that Mrs McGrath's health had declined over the past week after having surgery earlier in the year.
She leaves behind two children, James and Holly.
The McGrath family has requested that their privacy be respected.
Jane and Glenn McGrath founded the McGrath Foundation in 2002 after Jane intially recovered from breast cancer, to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer nurses.

My deepest condolence goes to McGrath family.

tough for the kids, also feel for glenn, i'm glad he retired when he did so he could spend a bit of quality time with her before she passed. but they did a heap to raise awareness so the family should be very proud.

i've pretty much accepted that i will eventually die of cancer (as will pretty much anyone else in the civilized world)...i just hope its at 82 and not at 42.
best wishes to the kids and pigeon...RIP.
