Shocking how one of the strongest teams of the tournament ended up number 5. High profile players, best coaching staff, aggressive marketing-not good enough to get them through.
Probably couple of things Chittagong should keep in mind for next season. Too many cooks spoil the broth. They should have one head coach given full authority on managing the team. No need for a Bevan and a Dean Jones. Not to mention guys like Nannu etc are also there. Burners, Rajshahi looked good with our local coaches. Another thing is they need to sort out their internal politics. Still dont understand why Tamim didnt play-but it seemed like there was a major issue. No team can win with such issues

Au contraire my friend, at the time I wrote that CTG could still have qualified if Khulna had lost (thank you Playmaker). Also, but for some BCB shenanigans, CTG may well have made the semis http://www.thedailystar.net/newDesig....php?nid=36122

That's a great news, at least these kind of steps can lift the image of BPL that has been damaged by the mismanagement in its first edition.

Can't blame SQC II, officially nicknamed "Jinnah" BTW, for being short of cash. Daddy's trial must be a severe drain.

He is right because, he isn't aware of BPL's image at this point. BPL very badly needs such people to be associated with it, if we can get the BPL 2 moving in the right direction after all these controversies ... It will be only because of these kinds of moves for building our image.....

My bad. I confused him one of the two FQC Juniors spawned from the great hero of the Umma.

CTG have better bench players than any other team. IF DG miss few of their key players, they will flop. CTG to play the final for sure!!!

^ They have the strongest spin line up if you go by based on which BD players they have. Enam and Arafat are both leading wicket takers from last season. Plus Kevon cooper, Ryan, Oram. They have a good mix of players.

As a Chittagong Kings fan I'm gutted and disappointed Tamim isn't in our team. It just isn't the same without him.

CK have too many good foreign players so it will be difficult to fit the likes of Jacob Oram/Brendon Taylor into the lineup. The local lads left out of this lineup is Naeem Islam and Taskin Ahmed. Marshall Ayub is also another one. Imran Nazir's batting partner was a hard one to figure out so i went with Aftab Ahmed lol. As i said the squad has too many foreign batsmen so it was a tricky lineup to work out.
