Your Squad for the ZIM Test series
We've had a good look at some of the guys...which 15 would you pick. Here's my squad...
1) Jaharul
2) Shahriar
3) Ashraful
4) Mominul
5) Shakib
6) Mushfiq
7) Nasir
8) Gazi
9) Enamul Jr
10) Rubel
11) Robiul
x) Naeem Islam
X) Abul
X) Riyad
x) Marshall
It would be great if Taskin and Anamul could be ready for this series. Openers are a weak link with Tamim out. Mominul looks better than Naeem, although Naeem can play longer innings. I think we should play 3 spinners regardless of how seam friendly Harare might be because a) its our strength and our pacers wouldn't take advantage anyway and b) ZIM simply cannot play spin at all.

Same team for test. Although I would like to pick a back up opener coz one of SN or Zahirul bound to fail. Shamsur would be my choice..

fine with jahurul, no SN though. mominul will learn to play longer innings the more he plays, before the recent domestic season he struggled with that but did a lot better this season so i expect he'll do that the more he plays in internationals. for pacers i'd like to see sajidul, kazi kamrul, kamrul rabbi or babu in the squad. no shahadat, no abul.

Mominul should be trialled at #3. Would rather want him tried at #3 over the likes of JS, SN and the other dropkicks. And besides he has batted at #3 on a number of occasions in tour matches.

Is Nazmul going to be fit? If so, he's the only pacer that plays in my X. Yes, I'll play with ten men, because whoever gets picked for the eleventh spot will cause more damage than it's worth.
Jahirul (20 off 500, then retire)
SN
Ash
Mominul
Shakib
Mushfiq
Nasir
Shohag
Enamul Jr
Nazmul
If Nazmul gets injured, play with nine men (pick a couple of tokais to make up the numbers). Please no Abul/Robiul/SRK/Rubel, the quality on offer from these four supersedes anything else the world has to offer, giving us an unfair advantage. Zimbabwe wouldn't be able to handle the beastly 130 kph pace.

9. Abul

Shakib in and Mullah out...should be the team.
Wo was that guy with a little beard...replacement fielder... Ayub khan? The bugger has no sense, how to throw...why can't we have someone who is good in the field as a replacement fielder? Team management just doesn't put any thought into 12th man....he also could be useful, atleast he shouldn't damage.

Shillingford and Marlon Samuels harassed Zimbabwe with their off spin. Shillingford picked up 19 in the 2 test matches and Samuels 10.
Of course the wickets there aided spinners, the same cant be said about the wickets in Zimbabwe. But without any doubt their confidence will be low against spin. Also must be said their batsmen showed very poor technique, footwork.
If Shakib plays then we will have 3 spinners in him, Gazi and Enamul. But what if Shakib isnt fit? Important we bring in a third spinner. Sunny was absolutely out of sorts so shouldnt be an option. Do the Bangladeshi selectors have the guts to call up Mosharraf? Or will they think the traditional way and pack the squad with useless seamers? Even if they pick up Mosharraf i guess we will play 2 pacers and 2 spinners as we will want 6 batsmen+ Mushfiq. But with Shakib the option for spin bowling increases

Until the useless pacers get their basics right, I see no reason to include any pacers or max one pacer in the lineup. Paces can't bat, they can't bowl, they can't even field. Why waste 2 spots for them let alone 3! When was the last time pacers won us anything?

And I am still looking for an answer why we had 3 pacers and just one spinner on the 2nd test.

I'm concerned about that too. But who else can open? Shamsur? I dont wanna see SN. Id rather give someone else a chance to show their worth.

i think the best choice would be to give a chance to samsur. ash should bat in #3 in test. we can prepare anamul as opener for test.

We're lucky to have an off spinner of some quality in Gazi given how Shillingford and Samuels basically went postal. I hope that Nasir gets to turn his arm over some in that light, and also to ease Shakib's (and Gazi's) burden. He can be a quality spinner. We don't need more than 2 pacers, and I'd go with Nazmul and Robiul.
