It is safe to assume that Mashrafee will end up being the highest wicket taker in ODIs for the 2006 calendar year. He has 45 so far, and needs 2 more to eclipse Nathan Bracken. Australia do not have any more ODIs in 2006.

In batting, Nafees needs 27 runs more to reach the 1000 runs plateau for this calendar year as well. He would be the 5th batsman to do so this year after Gayle and the 3 Lankans - Sangakkara, Jayawardene and Jayasuriya.
