ahahah same old same.. nothing changed... not even fans here... U guyz alll do the same thing before every series and every match. claiming the tigers are gonna win this match ..and blah blah.. our players the same way... they talk all big before the game ..stating this time they will play sensibly and all dat crap... but when time comes, we start to curse the players for playing like morons and the players start to throw their wickets... This series is no difference,... despite Junaids 100 and Saqibuls blazing 75 or something (just a fluke).

Hope I am wrong

The ptich is a very very important factor when we talk about this Test. Mirpur pitch is different than the one at Fatullah. Scoring 220-250 would be a competitive one, I heard. Patient approach (not like the one shown by Aftab, Shakib, SN in the practice match) would be vital to do this.

Just for reference, go and look at the scorecards for the last two series. And then you'll realize how much of a progress we have made!

Our 3 openers now: Tamim, SN, Junaed. Then: Hannan, JO, Al Shahriar and Opee.

Of them only Opee would make the present squad if he was 5 years younger and in form.

Our middle order now: then: Bashar of old, Sanwar (??), TI, Alok, Akram, Rafiqul Islam (???) Ash.

Our middle order now: Bashar of present, Ash, Aftab, Sakib, Rajin, TI, Mehrab Jr., Mushfique (he's been selected as a batsmen only at times)

I'd say a wash (i.e. even) but probably more potential match winners at present.

Keeper then: Pilot/Selim
Keeper now: Mushy

Pilot was better. Mushy has ways to go to match up to Pilot at peak. Only area where we were stronger in the past.

Our pacers now: Mash, Shahadat, Sajid, Rasel
Our pacers then: Monjurul, Talha, Tapash, Mash

Serious improvement in potency.

Our primary spinner then: Moni
Our spinner now: Rafique (took a 6-fer in his return match 'gainst Saffers)

I rest my case ... and people say we haven't improved
