Default Google Talk!

Good news for Gmail users. Google unveiled its latest tool: Google Talk last week. Download this ad free Google Talk, and a clean, unobtrusive floating window appears, instantly adding names from your Gmail address book into your list of contacts. The integration of Gmail and Google Talk will add value for those who already rely heavily on Google's growing service and tools offerings. This window offers just a few links: Inbox, Setting, Help and Add Friend. Please note that It isn't possible to call or chat with non-Gmail users through Google Talk.

skype is way much better than other in free (& paid service in skype out) net call service.

all the majors are eyeing a lead in this potential VoIP bandwagon.the end-users will ultimately get benifitted by the fierce battle.( specially all the expat BC members as we still have to pay a lot of bucks to call our dear one's, & bangladesh is in one of the highest priced tariff region).

Yahoo just introduced such a system, after buying Dialpad two months ago.

Microsoft is thinking one step ahead of other competitors.they are preparing to enable computer users to make a normal landline phone call from their PC.
they just acquired Teleo, who is a leading player in phone calls over the internet.

Google,Yahoo & all others currently allow phone calls between computers, but not yet to a domestic or mobile handset.

Teleo's technology allows computer users make and receive standard phone calls.

seems, amago polapain ra desh-bideshe poisha dia phone korbona ..in future.

eBay is buying Skype in a $2.6bn deal .
recently eBay is on a buying spree - b4 skype their other catch was payment system PayPal - in an effort to increase the number of services it offers consumers and keep its profits growing. according to reports ,by trying to tap the growing internet phone market, eBay is also attracted by the idea of letting its buyers and sellers talk to each other via their computers.

in a nutshell, they are on their way to offer the customers a COMPLETE package.
