Exactly!
I am still having goosebumps after watching a miraculous win against the English!!! Please no debate, arguments or mud-slinging should be started in this Ad campaign thread. I am proud to be a Tigers fan and very much appreciate the initiative taken by Betaar, Shuziburo, WarWolf and of course Dr. Z, to say the least. Kudos to every BC members who have stepped forward with their pledge of donation. No matter where does this AD publish, I am with you guys!

"Double comparison is taboo in Standard English except for fun" -- (Kenneth G. Wilson, The Columbia Guide to Standard American English. Columbia Univ. Press, 1993).
At least I didn't use the double superlative, as in "the most unkindest cut of all." And I'm sure you know who used that, na?

The three people who deserve the kudos are Betaar, and the brothers in arms of Shujiburo and WarWolf. They are the Men of this Match.
This was much like the the game. Betaar gave us a great start like Tamim or Imrul. Then we had the 9th wicked pair of Shujiburo and WarWolf that brought the victory home.

The ad really looks great on the page. Now that I think of it, because of the win, the ad on Saturday actually was better than an ad on Friday. What a match! What a match! I still have the warm feeling that I got after BD won. (I almost had 3 heart attacks and 4 strokes during the game, but that's a separate story.)
BTW, I thought I would update the current fund status. People already have sent $650.35 of the pledged amount. Thank you.

Hello everyone, first of congrats for the unbelievable win against England and thanks for the compliments. Yes, with fan support like what we have here in BC, almost aything is possible. Special thanks to everyone who pledged and donated (so far) their hard earned money for the tigers. Thanks to the members who also put in a lot of their time in creating the ad and also spending their valuable time in making this a success.
But I am writing to talk to you guys about PA's unprofessionalism. First they changed the date on us citing no availability on the WC special edition for Friday even after after initial promise, then they charged us a higher fee (tk. 70k instead of the Tk. 57k) for the last page of the actual news paper for Saturday and now I see they went ahead and actually published the ad on the 4th page of the WC special edition on Saturday.......they basically just robbed tk 12,400 from us by being shady.
What the hell are they trying to do? I am just speechless with the game they played with us knowing we are a forum who are just well wishers of Bangladesh cricket team. I am disgusted to say the least. I am going to call Mr. Mumit of PA and ask for an explanation and if possible try to get the rest of the money back.
War Wolf, anyway you can facilitate the retrieval of that extra fees they charged us? Can you please call him also and if need to be speak to higher authority for this shody behavour?

Only? We had a pledge of $1055. I have sent your paypal info to everyone but Shane2k. You should also add the new donor who showed interest in post #184.

Having run many fund-raising events in the past, one should realize that pledging does not necessarily mean that all those who pledge will eventually fulfill their pledge. Things change - they may realize the may have gotten caught up in the event and they cannot actually bear the financial commitment, they may no longer feel as attached to the cause, or they may just have made a pledge without planning to follow up etc. Also it may take time before someone contributes. These things happen. If we had time, we would have collected first and then execute but that was not possible in this instance like past BanglaCricket fund-raising initiatives.
Anyway - let Shuja Bhai keep updating for another several days and if there is then still a significant shortage, we can request our members to help fill the gap.
Once again, please do not post names and amounts, just the total amount collected so far. At the end, you could acknowledge all those who have contributed with thanks.
[Or if this were in a different country, we could sue PA or Muhit at PA for breach of trust and have them not only pay for this ad BUT also pay for a full-color back page ad at a later time.]

Thanks Zunaid bhai.
Full credit should go to Betaar bhai and you basically. You guys took the initiatives and keep it under follow up. Bhyia and me just tried to make the payment part easier.
Mahir submitted the first design. And everybody contributed in their possible way. WHAT A VICTORY!!!

Betaar bhai and Zunaid bhai, Mr. Muhit didn't offer for Regular version back page (rate is 11500 BDT per square col inch), it was back page of Bishsho Cup er Anginai. I just checked my mail to you which probably made you confused. I found my word choice was a bit confusing there. I don't have the greatest of the communication skills. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

War Wolf bhai, thanks for the update. I was actually referring to my conversatin with Mr Mumit on the same day after you met with him. He told me it was going to be the last page of the main PA news paper which according to him would've attracted more eyes then their WC special edition. What's done is done, I will let it go since I am in such a jolly mood today. A win from Bangladesh works like the cure of all pain.
