Default Air fare

I know many of you are going to BD for Eid. How much are you paying and what airlines? I just called an agent and he says the cheapest they have is 1700. I think that's too much. Any reason why it's so expensive now?

If anyone knows of any flight that would be in low 1000s, let me kknwo. Travel date would be dec 25-30 and return three weeks or a month from that date.

My mom traveled via kuwait airlines this summer and she paid only 1200 something...

Orpheus bro,

it wont get any cheaper from what I see around. Christmas is always the high demand season and you wont even get the ticket later if you dont secure it now.

You are flying from USA right? There are various routes from USA so keep looking around, its just us living in Canada who are trapped (all the tickets are sold out for that week at an avg price of CDN $2100).

Good Luck

yeah, your mom made it cheap because she travelled in the summer. ticket prices usually go up mid/late summer, and are in high-demand during christmas.

From what I know (although I heard quite a while ago) is Gulf through the US gives you a good deal. Not sure about their current price. You might wanna check their price.

I guess that because Eid is coinciding with the Christmas break, more bangladeshis than other winters would make a trip back home.

Orphy, I'll be in Dhaka too during that time. We should meet up! Heck I wouldn't mind meeting the Dhaka crowd - nasifkhan, spitfire, Shafin, et al.
