Inna lillahi Wa inna ilaihi Raziwun
My condolences, for what it's worth ... the thought of being in a world w/o my parents - while statistically a very likely situation - scares the s*** out of me.

Billah, thanks for the news. May her soul rest in peace.
I haven't seen Nazim post in a while but his nick was his real name if i remember correctly. He has a couple of articles in the archives you can dig up. It's possible some members newer to BD cricket may not remember who he is - Nazim opened for Bangladesh in the early 80s including the '81 ICC tournament. He moved to the US soon after, cutting short a blossoming international career - but he has been on of the top players in the LA cricket league for many years. His brother, Kazim, also played at Azad Boys, etc. Their cousins include the Shah brothers - Jahangir (Badshah), Nadir (currently umpiring BD international matches), et al - quite a family contribution to Bangldeshi cricket.

Here are the articles Nazim authored here:
Nazim Shirazi
Nazim Shirazi needs very little introduction to those who follow Bangladesh Cricket. As a young teenager Nazim was a key member of the national team in the early 80s. He is one of the most gifted and talented cricketer Bangladesh has ever produced. He was a very reliable opening batsman for Bangladesh and a tremendous fielder from a very young age. BanglaCricket is honored to have Nazim as a member of our forum. He goes by the nick Nazim Shirazi.

He's ok, as can be expected under the circumstances. By the way, Nazim bhai's mother's Janaza is going to be held tomorrow, Thursday, December 28, in Los Angeles, if any one is interested. I'll find out the time tomorrow AM.
