Thumbs up Zimbabwe vs South Africa Series '09

Just thought I'd start a thread on the just-started series between Zimbabwe and South Africa. Zimbabwe will be the most commonly played opponent over the coming year or two, and hence the interest. A good performance by Zimbabwe against the eite South Africans will further indicate that both Zimbabwe and us have both improved over the past year.

Input by zimbabweean fans will be appreciated.

172/2 off 32.4 overs by SA to start off with...looks ominous!

Pacers have cost Zimbabwe greatly, you can't take on SA with part timers like chibabha. They might be better off playing 4 spinners.

the match is officially over. 36 ball 102 required. Even Shahid Afridi's fastest 50 can't do it now. (he did it in 37 balls)

looks like Matsikenyri's main problem is spin. Thats why he can't perform against us. Actually its a problem for All Zim batsmen.

Yeah, it's the spin that makes all the difference.

we've beaten a taibu led team captained by the HaBa, and with the likes of tapash and mushfiq babu bowling with razzak missing out on the series.

taibu would have trimmed the margins, and thats it.

and guess what, in head to head matches between BD-ZIM, taibu averages less than ashraful!!!

Yeah, Taibu would be dancing on his toes against Razzak, Enam, Shakib and Riyad.

Taibu's average against RSA is 50 and both of his centuries are against them. Taibu loves to face RSA's pacers.
