That's a great idea, Pakistan being the spiritual home to a small but vocal and financially empowered crowd here and abroad. Our home of cricket should be switched from the SBNCS to any Taliban/Al Quaeda/Lashkar controlled neighborhood in Peshawar, and we should play all of our practice matches in and around various drone strike targets in the NWFP and Afghanistan proper. Morle shohid, ba(n)chle gaji!

OK, now i'm wrongly being credited for opening the thread.
I was the 2nd poster on this thread while the OPs post has been deleted by the mods, reasons not known to me.
Now it seems that my post was pushed one place up !

Reasons we should not tour Pak, we must address these first:
1. Mushy is developing as a captain, not 100% there yet.
2. We have not addressed "drop catch" issues.
3. If Tamim and Riyad can't hit, no one can: we need to work on that.
4. we need to make sure we play the full strength PAK team. 5. Kanta's inclusion to the touring squad.
There is a propensity to include the 1971 issue regarding whether we should go to Pakistan and play or not. We did go to Pakistan before. And multiple times. If the security is being guaranteed at the top most level, I dont see why we wouldnt visit them... Pakistan needs help from atleast one full member board and Bangladesh is its closest as they can relate the situations there. Offcourse, if there are any security issue, even a Majhee should not be taken there but if their government is ensuring state level security ( which they would anyways as they are in dire situation), I personally don't see why we wouldnt tour them. We like it or not, Pakistan players have been a big part of Dhaka league for many many years, our first international coach was also a Pakistani, they supported our bid for Test cricket and also did host us in their empty stadiums for full series...Especially now that our ODI team is fully ramped up, we have an opportunity to settle the score of 2 runs on Pakistani soil.
And if some of you are still bringing 1971 in cricket, I have no arguments to make.
we should go to pakistan, if we can tie mustafa kamal and his chamcha papon in the windshield as a protector, if any gun shot or stone throwing incidence happens, so our players will be saved
The North West Frontier has always been a "problem" for Pakistan, USSR, The British since time immemorable. The last two incidents that have happened - happened in the NWF. They are a people from ancient history been an indomitable people - as far back as Alexander. Perhaps it has to with their terrain or their location or an inculcated feeling that they are the last bastion of resistance.
There is no place like that in the world - and one cannot generalize that to the rest of the country.

I think that would be a great idea.
PS: I think you were being sarcastic - but its a ground breaking idea if we can broker with MCC on that.
Great find!!! Yes, we should support Afghanistan, Kenya or Zimbabwe. Especially, Afghanistan since they are within the Sub-Continent. Honestly, some of their players are remarably talented as they have shown in T20 tournaments and U19 tournaments..

Yeah, they are semi autonomous. Even though, on the map it says Federally Administered Tribal regions, which always seemed like a misnomer to me. All states are Federally Administered, they might have their own state laws, but have to comply with the federal laws as well. So if you want to delineate certain parts of your country as more autonomous, better to exclude the word federal from it.

Interesting that you used the word thug - because it is actually a group of people of old India - in Bengali - Thog
However, the NWF was explored and people were taken advantage of - especially in the recent past with the Soviet invasion and the US "backed" counter-attack. The start of all the modern mess. Until when the US's mission was completed.
