The matches will take place on the Maple Leaf North-West Ground, King City. Does anyone know if this place is accessible by Go Bus ?

Welcome to BC Sayeem.
Unlikely. best bet is to call 1-888-GET-ON-GO.
What's the source of the news tho?

I read from other Paki Forums that the intersection is near Dufferin and Bloomington, at King City. This also happens to be near Seneca College's Kings campus , so there should be a GO bus stop around the area. I goggled and found an address at :
13811 Dufferin St, King City, ON, Canada.
I found in google maps that is is right next to Seneca College. The satellite view does show an outline of a few cricket pitches .

Thanks for the source.
King City is the only international standard ground in TO. Either you couldn't locate the area that well, or perhaps the pitch was covered.
If it's Dufferin and Bloomington, you may get a service on York Region Transit.

Thanks for this update. I heard that the games will be played at the Toronto Cricket club grounds.
I sincerely hope that Siddons is arranging some 20/20 matches, so that the boys get into that hitting mode.
I dont think that it will be easy for them to defeat the WI again, they will have to struggle harder, it is almost 1 year now, and IMO, West Indies is a better and stronger team now, they missed beating Australia by 1 run in the 4 th ODI.

I'll be there on all four days. The 16th and the 17th being weekend days certainly helps.

Here's my understanding on tickets, the selection of the venue for this tournament and King City ground itself...
King City grounds have been staging most of Canada's intercontinental matches for the past couple of seasons. The authorities are trying to give this ground more exposure to international cricket. A possible reason for that would be the fact that King City is managed by Maple Leaf Cricket Club, which probably has direct links to Cricket Canada.
On the other hand, a more of stadium-like ground at the famously named Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club is under the management of Toronto Cricket Club, and has its own set of operations policy. So the TCSCC ground only gets international games when King City grounds arent available.
To be honest, I personally would love to attend an international game at the TCSCC ground in the heart of Toronto, but the stand-less King City grounds, with 5 cricket fields in the park, gives more of a picnic-type environment, and will definitely make the 4-day event seem rather festive with all the crowd gathering and all. But when the players are in the middle, its all business, mind you. 4 national teams are competing in the tourny afterall, not club teams. Also, You guys might just be able to interact with the players better at the King City ground instead of the TCSCC ground. I am definitely looking forward to this. I am not sure if the regular season league games at the King City for that weekend will be moved to other grounds throughout GTA, but if they are not, it will truly be a wholesome cricket weekend at King City. Our Toronto-based Bangla Cricket Club just happen to have a 3rd div game scheduled on Saturday, August 16th
Nafis, you always worry about how to reach a ground! Relax... if we get to go to the ground, you will be able to as well. We wont just strand you back at your place... and now that I have a car, you should worry even less
About the tickets... they have not been released yet. And I dont think they will be made available before August rolls along. So as Asif bhai said... if anyone has any info on them, we'll find out right away.

That's good. Otherwise no meaning playing some unofficial matches so far away..
