^ Shakib was retained by KKR but pune released Tamim. So no Tamim in 2013 IPL . Nasir, Mushfiq and even Gazi deserve to be in that list .

I am in a way glad that they arent.. And it aint no grapes are sour.. They might as well just play domestic or PSL than being benched at IPL. Even Shakib gets few matches,, Mushfique and Gazi wont get anything. Nasir didnt get a single match at SLPL... so for our players, yeah they are losing out the money but other than that,, if we can't get to see them play what's the point?

It's disappointing considering even a cricketer from Ireland is in the list. If our players had any pride then they would take it as extra motivation to work harder and improve their skills so that at ICC events we can really show we are not as bad as we used to be. 2014 WC would be a good time to make a statement with the talent that we have.

Sad. Because it's the only T20 tournament worth watching.

Even our best cricketer fight every single match to confirm his position in the next match so I am not surprised.

Ridiculous. Nasir should've really walked into some IPL team.

Personally I think BBL>IPL. Dunno, maybe it's the presentation and everything.

Never was interested in the IPL unless Shakib was playing.

Its got nothing to do with the skills of our player. In fact i bet IPL clubs would welcome Bangladeshi participation to boost support. Our big brother just doesnt want any tournament to take a slight shine of theirs. So we have to face the consequences!
Anyway no harm for us. Not much our guys can learn by warming the bench. In fact its a waste for Shakib to play for KKR as well. Better for him to sort out his own game instead of wasting time there. At the moment he is having a torrid time with bat and ball.

Probably a good thing. If our players get their BPL money...its more than they would ever earn in IPL. Players don't get paid for warming the bench. So Nasir probably didn't get any money from SLPL if he didn't play any matches.
Our guys should just focus on NCL and BCL, to be honest.

^NCL and BCL should focus on generating competitive and quality cricket worthy of being called FC and List A first
I'm all for our guys and if possible, teams playing FC and List A in India, Sri Lanka and other places where their lives won't be in mortal danger.

When a player is in the squad, he gets the money whether he is there in playing XI or sitting on the bench. That is the way contracts work for all these leagues (IPL, BPL, SLPL, BBL) or any other
Presently I don't think many IPL teams would be buying many players as all teams have their hands full. So it is good no player is there. As some pointed out he can contribute to the domestic circuit, as he will be getting a fair share of money from BPL. Nothing to be worried about
As a poster above said "What is IPL"

Bid deal! we have a full series with Zimbabwe anyway and hopefully we will raise it to 3 test matches because of our lack of International Cricket. IPL is what ruins Indian Cricket and wastes too much time, this is another blessing in disguise for us.
Yeah just checked that it clashes with our tour to Zimbabwe but I hope this Kamal guy for once does something for Bangladesh Cricket and raise our Zimbabwe matches - 3 Tests 3/5 ODIs and 3 T20s.

IPL snub blessing in disguise, Pakistani players not coming blessing in disguise, PSL not inviting/BCB not giving NOC will be future blessing in disguise. I beginning to wonder what we will do with all the surplus of blessings we are getting from our neighbors. Can we trade it for some commodity like respect and good reputation?

I know, Shakib is eoungh to grab most of BD attention towards IPL. I understand their hands are full and most Indians franchises dont feel much attraction over Bangladeshi performers. But imo atleast SRK's Calcutta could've one more Bangla input (maybe just for show) in their side to boost Bangladeshi viewer number to watch IPL. IPL doin a strategic mistake in business here by sidelining us.
